I just created a new facebook group. I created it as a private group. There are several reasons I created it. The main reason is to help build new potential products without the fear of breaking any TOS. I have some ideas of products I want to do but they are currently just ideas. I do not want to break any TOS by posting the starts of those ideas until they are ready and accepted by Daz for example.
I will post more info tomorrow as I am supposed to be sound asleep in half an hour or less. I should have asked for a sleeping pill but it is too late now.

you mean like showing renders previews of your products for example skins/characters that can't be shown here like unclothed or revealing since there's several here that ask for that before buying sort of thing understandable though even on a closed facebook group you gotta be careful one group I'm in allowed nudes if they were tasteful but they had to keep making changes to the group cause of problems of some causing problems now the group is hidden sadly I'm lucky I'm in it good group and no one ever posts anything explicit. A lot of creators have show examples of there products on deviant art on their pages previews they could never show here maybe you want to consider that too
If this is the case, Deviant Art would be a much better site to do that.
Did you know that Facebook has an algorithm that can sort out images with nudity, even if they are copies of Picasso old masters

..but it's still Facebook
i am confused about the breaking TOS part, do you mean posting nude, violent or gore type images or sharing assets, which would be a big no no.
I don't think it has to do with nudity of figures so much as it does talking about and discussing products in ways the forums may not allow. It could be anything from criticisms to requests to questions people may not feel comfortable asking in public. The ideal sounds interesting to me. I have several product ideas I've been working on but have no idea if they would find any success here at Daz. If I could for example produce a poll (which is forbidden here in the forums) it might help me better gauge the lieklihood of success. I like this idea in principle. Execution will remain to be evaluated. But even for the sake of polls and the like I think it could be useful. Nudity could well be an issue in any forum, naturally. I look forward to more clarification from Miss Bad Wolf!
So far so good from me
Yes there was an outcry and they had to replace it.
I was not thinking of nudity or violence, but somewhere to ask for testers of soon to be commerical products. I was under the assumption that the TOS does not allow commerical posts. Let's pretend I am making a commerical figure but not sure where to sell it yet. While there may be need for some nudity but the point is more of a commerical product that has not been approved by Daz yet.
I am a big supporter of this idea. I need beta testers sooooo badly. Have been wondering how to go about finding them. Please keep me posted. If you could send me a link to the group I'll join up. I visit facebeek about once a month usually because I need to find a dead biosy from my past or something. Now I'll have a better reason. Wish you the best Bad Wolfy
Okay I will keep you posted. Probably will write an PM sometime tonight or tomorrow for you.
I think a few content creators have asked for testers here and usually the download is via drop box site
I do not but thought the group would be helpful for me and anybody wanting testers or to be a tester.
Did a quick pm.
There are already groups like this idea on Facebook.
There is one where customers can critic products. Sadly these groups get very little traction.
Traffic on the DAZ Studio and Poser art groups are not what they used to be. Back in 2015 and 2016 the groups were overflowing with users and traffic, there is very little interaction nowadays and it's always the same handful of people that interact on a daily basis, a handful compared to the size of many of the groups. I calculate about <5% out of a group size of 2,000.
Looks like a great idea but I don't do Facebook.
I have already done some betatesting and is open to do more.
I am starting with Facebook, but later once I figure out if I can, I can do something for Deviant Art or better yet a personal webforum that is private. I am just starting it with a facebook group.
kinda like the old yahoo groups I was in many many years ago mostly the sims games we'd upload and share creations we created like skins props hacks and such of course file size was usually around under 100mb mostly only a few doubt file size for uploads has changed though looking at file sizes in my dim some types of content you or others make to be tested probably would work uploaded there and you can make it private group too but again creators are limited size wise of products they could offer as tests t you can photo albums and sub folders for everything and easily remove delete the test products once you have enough testers or testing period finished for each product oh and you can do a basic newsletter for members and polls and other options at least all this was possible way back then haven't been back there in years
just had a look on yahoo groups limit is 5mb total 100mb in files total so wont work for this sort of thing
How do I delete a Facebook group that I created? I am thinking of doing a group still but not on Facebook.
I wonder why Usenet is being abandoned. It's a great and simple platform for both discussions and pictures. No censoring or moderation (unless the group is set up as moderated), no one collects your personal data (even if they try it's easy to remain completely anonymous), no registration other than getting an account with a newsgroup provider.
I'd be interested as well
Discord might be an option for you as well.
