"Cats & Dogs" Pro bundle ...
Based on the history over the last year, it's not unusual to see a '1 week break' on the 2 week Pro Bundle cadence we've been seeing lately. The last time this happened was back in January/Early February. Initially we had 3-4 weeks between Pro Bundle releases, with other 'non-Pro' bundle releases taking up the slack, but it's become 2 weeks pretty consistently, with occasional 1 week breaks in between.
I'm personally not really holding my breath r.e. the upcoming 'Pro' characters. I kinda have the ones I want at this point, except one, i.e. Freak 8, and thanks to Swole 8, that is looking much less likely over the next year.
I'm content with the earlier versions of Mei Lin, although I know that a number of you are chomping at the bit for a new version of her.

I'm hoping LaTonya and Dwayne are mulatto or (less precisely) bi-racial. And I can wait for Mabel. But Genesis 8 Male definitely needs a Gianni or Ivan type; so, perhaps Dwayne is a version of the Rock.
I suspect that if there is a cat he will appear at the Michael Anniversary sale and will include a free Michael 8. And all the other stuff will come not as Pro or Starter sets but as a Build-A-Kitty bundle offer. Hopefully there'll be an extra discount for those of us who already own M8.

Edit: Starting with Nix 8, we have exceeded the 1 guy to every 2 girls ratio, 13 males and 21 females out of 34 characters.(
I'm wondering if we will see another 4 week interval when Michael 8's birthday comes out. If so, that interval would also be a great time for Cat 8 to drop, if it's in the 'cue' already.
We are still holding with the 'triplets' theory on the pro bundles, i.e. 1 male for every 2 females. With Kaylee 8, one of the next two releases will need to be a male version to continue the 'triplets' pattern which has held so well up to this point.
I'm good with a 2 to 1 ratio (female to male) on the pro bundles. If we see a similar cadence to last year, we can expect another 20 or so Pro bundles before Genesis 9, assuming that G9 drops in June of next year. As for non- pro character releases, well there's another thread where people are keeping a tally on those.
Everyday here is Victoria 8s birthday. If Michaels birthday sale ever happens it probably will be loaded with Victoria 8 items..and probably be a one day sale.

According to the FBMs on the Abraham Hair product, Dwayne 8 will be a toon character.
Listed on the website as "Dwayne 8", but the FBM is labelled "Toon Dwayne 8" inside Daz Studio .
Good catch! Oh, I guessed right (maybe!). Almost surely part of the Guy 8 Pro bundle then, that should be a good pro bundle & it must be close to finished by now.
IMHO we really could use a male counterpart for Sakura. Sakura is a rather uniquely designed character.
I think you guys may have it right (Dwayne being a Guy 8 variant), but the 'toon' thing could also mean a Sakura counterpart...
My opinion is that there wasn't really a 4-week gap between Girl 8 and Kaylee. In my book the DAZ Dog counts as a DAZ Original character, and I would add it to the list. There was the usual two-week gap, the only difference being that it was released on a Monday rather than a Tuesday.
I have a note about Dog 8 in my updated chronology. I've been including mentions of other significant releases when the interval is longer than 3 weeks in my chronology.

Toon Dwayne 8... it may be possible I will skip this one too.
I hope it’s just a character for guy8 as nonesuch suggested. But I tend to actually like guys bundle. It actually had some good pinup poses in the last one. And I could use some toony skins.
Dwayne fits have been mentioned in a couple of clothing items, and fits are rarely made for anything other the Daz Original base figures (although George had a fair few fits, probably due to his extreme body). So I suspect Dwayne will be the main figure and not the Guy. He could be the "mate" for Girl 8, but although DAZ have renamed male mates before (eg Hiro), it would be odd to rename the Guy, as that is not really a name at all. Also possible Dwayne could be something completely different, like Ollie was, (maybe a heavily muscled toon like superhero) and not meant as the Girl's counterpart at all. We can only guess.
Guy is a given male name. I know a few people that have that name. Girl though is not a given name that I've heard before, though but I don't think DAZ is going to change the name of that character because it's not a given name.
Cool then s different character altogether. Although hopefully guy isn’t out of the picture either.
it's not Girl as a name. It is The Girl as in The Girl 8/7/6 etc right back to the original which was just The Girl
But The Freak and The Freak 4 become Freak 5 .
Sounds better as The Freak and The Girl. Guy though was never The Guy. I guess it just didn't work out between The Girl and Guy.
My prediction on what will be next? Another white female.
That is a safe bet. However if we stick to a 2 girl / 1 guy cycle, then a male release is up next, unless the Dog 8 counts as a male release!
That does not appear to be correct. People never use his leading article, but it's actually in the product catalog. Weirdly enough, his predecessor figure, Guy 4 Michael 4 (withdrawn from the store shortly before The Guy 7 came out) actually wasn't "The Guy 4", although she was "The Girl 4"; probably because he was then a PA item and not a Daz Original.
Yup. Dog 8 is clearly a boy dog by default, he has to count as a dude.
