Curently i dont sign my work, but since im getting better at it i want to start signing my work.
Can you do this automatically in daz or do i need to do it with post work (eg. photoshop)
I know the batch render has that option as an overlay if im not mistaken. Is this a default Daz function?

I usually do it in photoshop, don't think Daz Studio has a option for that. Least not that I know of, but I am the first to admit there is much about Daz Studio I don't know :)
Easiest is to make yourself a png with alpha that you can just drop on the image in postwork Is how Daz Promos are done.
That is how I do it but I use IrfanView to place it on the image. I can even do my whole library of pictures using it in batch mode and also rename them and put them in another folder :)
I use Photoshop to add a text layer with texture (drop shadow, emboss, etc.) to an image then fade it into the image in an inconspicuous place. If it's on an oblique wall I change the perspective of the text to make it look as if it's part of the wall. I'll have one that is easy to see, but I also hide a couple more, more carefully in the image just in case someone erases or cuts out the primary signature. In which case I can then confront them with the well hidden signatures.
Another option is, you could make a signature prop, and include it in the scene. That could be as simple as a plane with an image attached, or maybe a text object prop (there are several products in the store for converting text to props, or you could do it in an external modeller), and so on.
whats the deal with digital watermarking?
That's awesome, so it's like an Easter egg in every image. Didn't Seinfeld do that with his TV show?
You could also use this script to see how to composite in a signature file http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/samples/general_ui/simple_composite_image_dialog/start
