60-70% OFF - Lists of vendors -- terrible format - TERRIBLE I SAY

davesodaveso Posts: 7,810

is there a way to see all the products or do we have to click on each vendor to see what is on sale?
I've never liked having this format ... of course its OK if you have favorite vendors, but otherwise, its a real pain having to wade through each one to see what might be available.

I like it when Ati posts the links to consolidate the view. Not sure if it's possible for this sale however..

I would suggest going to the shop: https://www.daz3d.com/shop/ then hiding PC+ items, and finally sorting by % off. That will give you a good start.

Or better yet: sort your wishlist by % off, if what you want is wishlisted.

I have a variety of interests, and I hate wading through an entire wall of names just to see who has what.  I only have 6 items in my wishlist, and none of them are in the sale as they are recent releases for G8 figures.

So a hunting I will go, a hunting I will go, hi ho the dairy-oh, the hunting I will go.

It's unfair to PAs too because people will click on the popular ones they know and there could be some great undiscovered gems from lesser known PAs but no one will bother to click on them. I'm doing the opposite. I already have most of what I want from popular PAs (who often have sales at better than 60% off) and am curious about the lesser known ones, but Daz is making it difficult and a pain to shop at all with this new set up. I clicked randomly on several PAs I was not familiar with, but gave up. Too time consuming.

With the browser addon, you can also sort by discount % off: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/106296/announcing-daz-deals-browser-add-on/p1

You can have the most discounted items listed first. Works both in the store (including category pages) and in your wishlist.

the only thing i note, when you view a product while in %off mode, when you click back arrow the formatting goes away and you end up back with all the products listed by highest % ... if that make sense... it doesn;t go back to your sorted list. so you have to apply the filters again and start over.

  • If you want to see a list of all the things on sale (All the G3 items, for example), click on one of the vendor's names to go to their store page. At the top you can just clear them from the filter and bam! all the sale items are visible at once.

I like this format. Clicking all pages is impossible. Of course everbody looks first at their favourite vendors' stores, but this doesn't mean that you have to stop there and miss all the others. It's true, you could find some gems in unknown places.

I ctrl+click on the item, that opens the product in a new tab. The sorted list remains in its own tab, and closing the item page will get you right back to where you were.

What spleenrippa said (the remove the checkbox from the vendor's name after visiting any vendor's name).  Good call there!

    cool yes

  • If you are a PC+ member, DAZ Originals is one of the vendors and the discounts stack.  I'd suggest starting there.  There are some huge bargains to be had.

They get the normal 60-70% PLUS another 30% for being Daz Originals, bringing some of the discounts up to 79%.

    Try this one:

    https://www.daz3d.com/interesting-places-and-things#index=08

You can also open up the 'artist' dropdown (upper left corner above where the products begin) on the product page after clicking any vendor, and uncheck the artist, which should clear the 'artist' filter.

Edit: ATI's link should be good.  I was confused and thought you were having issues.

...finally picked up the New York Brownstones by Aurelio.  Slowly clearing off the wishlist.

I picked up a few things. most of the things that were on my wishlist I know will come around at a higher discount than this sale at another time, so I scoured for the little gems that never go on sale and a found a few.

    RuntimeDNA Select items : https://www.daz3d.com/runtime-select-items

I ended up buying nothing in either of the weekend sales, and a large part of it was that I just couldn't be bothered going though all those vendors when often there were only a few items actually on sale.  The other part was that I actually maxxed out the 3TB drive that my active runtimes are installed on and had to go through weeding out items I've bought but rarely use just so I could install the stuff I bought last week.  .
