Not seeing the 64 bit beta in DiM at the moment, nor is it in the product library, and I do have the required boxes ticked to make it show up..  Well this is strange even though I own Hexagon, I had to go to the beta store page and put it into my cart and free pruchase it, to make it show up in DiM..

don't think everyone gets dim updates same time as for product library that often takes time to update if at all but I've taken a screenshot of my dim installed files so you can see

...yeah not there yet in my DIM either.

I installed 2.5.2.133 last night but it was automatically directed to the x86 (32 bit programme) folder.

For me I had to have "Public Build" checked in my DIM filters before I could see them.

....it is in mine or I would not have received the previous ones.

I installed with DIM, it went to the 64 bit folder

...the update I installed last night has a smaller "Installed Size" (22.9MB) than the 64 bit version in Angelreaper's attachment.  It also didn't have either "(Win 32 bit)" or "(Win 64 bit)" after the name so I imagine it was an older 32 bit version I just never bothered installing (order date: 11/20/2017) as the Beta I had (2.1.179) kept crashing like usual.  Odd though that it does show as being ver 2.5.2.133.

Just refreshed the DIM, and still nothing.

    __________

Uninstalled the version I installed last night then deleted all instances of the Hexagon installers in the DIM, closed it, reopened, and now the 64 bit version appeared.

I had to check "Public Build" under settings and type "hexa" in Search before it showed up.

..see my ETA above finally got it working.

...and nice I can go beyond Smoothing level 1 finally. Usually when I clicked on level 2 it crashed. Great for making very clean smooth rounded objects (like organ pipes and 1950's rocket ships). I figured opening up to 64 bit would solve a few of the instabilities I kept running into.

  • Oh, awesome. I'll have to see if I have the 64 bit Hexagon in DIM when I get home. I've actually been picking up Blender a lot easier these days, but Hexagon seems more intuitive to make stuff for Daz characters. Can't wait to try it out and see if it's truly stable on my Mac.

I use Hex on occasion for geometry edits... Now I think I'm going to actually have to sit down and learn to model

The Mac version is not yet available as a 64 bit application. It is being worked on.

That's really cool. Have it installed but is there a way to change the bridge in DS to point to the new 64 bit or do we have to wait for the Public release rather than this current Beta release?

As Richard said, you can change the path to the .exe in the preferences. Having said that, I've been having problems with the bridge as I outlined in the discussion thread for this Beta release. https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/256961/hexagon-beta-version-2-5-2-133#latest

Cool. I'll wait awhile before installing the Mac version on my Macbook then :) So far, so good on the Windows 64 bit version. But I'm one of those rare animals that never really had too many problems with Hex to begin with. LOL

The Mac version has been updated, it just isn't 64-bit.
