    Theoretically you could set up skin with 100% translucency that worked and didn't darken anything or get undetailed. Theoretically this would be more physically accurate. That said translucency and sss are super finicky in iray so actually getting it to work is very questionable

     

    (the general method is low sss scale, but to get it to work right you want to use chromatic sss and fiddling with the settings tends to inexplicably turn the figure bright green or see through. I have my suspicions for why this happens but thats a whole other long spiel)

    Maybe he's using a deep conditioner and he wears the shower cap so his head gets warm and steamy to help the process.cheeky

    (Granted, you can't see hands or feet, so that helps)

     

    You might also try Darius 7's skin if you have it as it seems to me to be of an older man as compared to Darius 8.

    If it had come to that, I might experiment with mixing Darius and Floyd, maybe using diffuse overlay.

     

    That's something I'm working on for my next skin shader product - the ability to add lighter hands and feet soles to G8M, G8F, G3M, and G3F. 

    Here's a Darius 8 and Floyd 8 mix with Floyd's mats darkened with Altern8 and a couple manual tweaks - it shows the lighter palms part I'm working on. 

    It's a WIP and I'm still tweaking it, but I think it will help to give the skins more use for a wider variety of characters.

    Confused about the discounts...  I used my plat club coupon to get an extra 6 off and that was good.  Then when I put in the 3 free bundles, it went back up 6.  I was assuming the price would stay the same.  Did I do something wrong do you think?

    This is such a versatile base and the add-on characters are great as well.  Here's the Monty character and skin with a few extra morphs and a pass through Altern8.

    You can still use it, you just have to submit a ticket to get DAZ to refund the difference. I have done that a few times already, you just need to submit screenshots of your cart before and after the coupon is applied so support can see how much you need to be refunded.

    Floyd went out one night to relive some memories, youngsters beware 'cause the ol' man can still rock it :)

    A shoutout to @CynderBlue for having movement morphs in the wizard robe (which I use as his shirt, after I removed the skirt part) and also having those morphs typed out in the included/features list. Big Thank You from me!

    took me awhile to do my first Floyd had trouble getting setting lighting right as usual and dforcing the outfit didn't like the pose did weird stuff and clashed crashed with others ended up giving pants was showing off his bare legs was going to let him do that but decided to pants him

    As I made the Vintage Male Hair, I’m pretty sure it’s the one in the Floyd and Percy promos.

    The funny thing about those Floyd-on-the-beach 'pinups' was the actual pinup ladies in bikinis admiring him. I suppose power-fantasy poses for men always gotta have the onscreen lady admirers, just because they're actually targeted at the male viewers, not the real life ladies.

    Actually, that's exactly what I was going for, funny. It wasn't targeted at anyone in particular, just thought it would make the pictures have a bit more character to them with girls fawning over the beer bellied older guy.  Kinda why I opted to have no hair and the shower cap, and briefs instead of swim trunks. It was a joke. That is, if you're even talking about the ones I did... lol
