My thoughts exactly... The page loaded on that image and that was exactly what I was thinking.

    Nice model and render.

Wish I could take full credit for that haha, but other than tweaking the lights a bit and adjusting the material on the water and the biguana;  it's basically a scene I purchased and a critter I purchased x')

It does look absolutely fantastic though, I've been picking this scene apart to see how they set it up,  materials... Lights... Scene measurement and modeling...  I've got a few scenes like this (from AMScenes & CGAxis) that I've been looking over  -  and sticking critters into~ ^^

yeah, but, want to make it reasonable. lol

would a minotaur bring a dragon to the ground or would the dragon lift the minotaur.

imagining the dragon could drag the minotaur.

like, godzilla fighting rodan.  was pretty much a standoff iirc

Mmm, well...  Rathalos from Monster Hunter,  in the third game's opening he picks up and easily carries off an Aptonoth - which is basically this herbivore dinosaur almost as large as he is. He's strong enough to carry it just fine.

In the latest game, there's a scripted encounter where he'll pick up a dinosaur that IS as large as he is. It's clear though that it's heavy enough he can't hold it for long, so it was mostly just to get it off its feet and knock it down.

In Rathalos/Anjanath's case up above, I think it'd be fairly possible for Anjanath to grab his tail and pull him out of the sky, but it's not totally clear how strong he really is - the game's shaped him up to be more of a "bully" that antagonizes and harasses weaker creatures but collapses like a house of cards when he faces off against something that can actually fight back (Like Rathalos here)

Morning. Is blowing hot and cold here as bright sun plays hide go seek with some very dark rain clouds like hanging gardens of night in an otherwise ordinary blue sky :)

Depends on the gravity of the planet, the type of gases in the atmosphere, the density of the gases, surface area of the wings, shape of the wings, number of wings, aerodynamics of the beast in general and the drag of his dangling feet, as well as the turbulence created by the scales, bumps and horns.  And let us not forget to figure in the weight of food it ate for lunch. I'm sure there must be an app that could figure it all out. indecision

A human being fitted with reasonably sized wings could self-fly in the dense atmosphere of Titan if he could survive the nitrogen-methane air being nearly as cold as liquid natural gas. surprise

Complaint:  I missed it!  I went out for a drive today and saw that the trees have leaves and I missed noticing the phase where they have buds.  Wow, that was quick.  Seems like just a couple days ago they were still bare.  I love the look of new leaves, they are that light glowing shade of green that only lasts for a few days.

Non-complaint:  I'm listening to my latest music purchase, Dimitri Kabalevsky's Piano Concerto #3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ILILmNuPZI  Just 20 minutes of plain simple fun.  2nd movement starts at 6:11, 3rd movement at 12:34

Kabalevsky is better known for his short piece "Galop"  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6Qnxf04Whg  from "Les Comediens", that I'm sure almost everybody here has heard somewhere, sometime.  It's pretty recognizable.  More fun!

Never got a ride in a police car that I can remember.  A forest ranger's jeep, yes.  Diane and I went on a long hike in New Hampshire, Arethusa Falls trail.  We started around 12:30 pm.  We got back to the road around 6:30 pm.  We were losing the Sun.  We didn't find the parking lot, the trail went invisible.  There was a storm the week before as I remember it was explained to me.  So, we came out onto the road, but didn't know where...which way was the parking lot?  Diane saw a sign and said, "I remember that sign...that way."  OK.  After a while, the ranger came by and stopped and asked if we needed help.  I told him the story, and he told us to get in...we were going in the wrong direction.  D'oh!  We were many miles from a town, and darkness was setting in.

I love foliage in the Spring.  All the different shades of green on the leaves.  By mid Summer, the greens all seem almost the same.  And, of course, the blooms on trees, like the pear trees our home owners' asscociation planted at the corners of our property borders.  I really love the different pinks and magentas of the cherry blossoms and others that have the pink.  Such a contrast to the browns and greens.  None of it lasts very long, though.

My Japanese Maple bush has sprouted its beautiful leaves.  The Rhododendrum has already blossomed...that doesn't last very long either.  The bumble bees have been buzzing around the blossoms.  Still trying to shake off the chill of winter, though.  Thermostat has been changed to Air Conditioning but it hasn't activated the last couple of days...it only got to 54 F outside today...and didn't get above 69 inside.  I don't like it that cold.  Considered switching it back to heat, but Diane said to leave it alone.  So, a little extra help from a zip up fleecie.  I already changed over to short sleeve tees, and once I do, I don't like to go back to the long sleeves until the Fall.  Daffodils have already shrivelled, except for a couple that were transplanted a couple years ago.  They come out a little later.  They're on their way out, though.  Next up, the irises.

One of the things I love about Monster Hunter...  The cinematics can be terrifying, the monsters can be terrifying, and then the community does stuff like this with them:

Happy Mothers Day! I'm so blessed to have a strong family. Thank God for people that care about you and for you. I am becoming increasingly aware that having parents and family that love and care for you is not common for everyone. I just wanted to say stay blessed! Love you all!

I have to admit though  I still prefer Nigel Kennedy playing 4 seasons.   But maybe I am biased as I have met him several times and he is a hoot in real life, when not on stage.

Morning. Remnants of a luminous white river fog lifting skyward in a slow motion reveal of glass and concrete towers making it hard to guess where soft lit city ends and cloudy sky begins or even where the sun might be hiding so far today :)
