The 80% discount with new release on featured items in the Cyclopian sale is not working

The Monumental one went to the right discount when I put a new item in the cart. The shaders is not part of the deal; wasn't in the items showing for me.

Except that the copy on today's sale says any new release qualifes the 80% off on the featured Cyclopian items, not just Gothic releases.  I just tried it with the just released living the dream bundle, no joy.  I also tried the newly released wood shaders from Plat Club, also no joy.

So either the discount needs to be fixed, or the copy should be changed to say new Cyclopian items only for featured items.

Dragon Rider Outfit for Genesis 3 Female(s), is showing at 65% off whether or not one of today's new releases are in the cart. Several other randomly added products show the correct discounts, but only with one of today's new releases.

As @tj_1ca9500b pointed out, the adcopy specifically states:

    Cyclopian featured items
Buy any new release & get 80% OFF* these featured Cyclopian items

In fact, it's mentioned twice on the sales page. "Any new release…" Therefore any new release should be triggering the discount.

And — yet again, DAZ — there's no clue how many Featured Items there are. Large categories like this really need a "show all" button below it; I tried that itty-bitty scroll button for a while, and never hit the end by the time I tired of clickettyclickettyclicking.

Scrolling, scrolling, scrolling... scrolling, scrolling, scrolling...

Here is another one that still doesn't show the 80% discount even with today's new release.

So is the 80% discount supposed to apply to all cyclopian featured items simultaneously or just one per single purchase? Either case, it seems some items just don't take the discount. There are MANY.

I reported the problem with the new items. It turns out the sale was incorrectly labeled. It should only apply to the new items for the 80% off. The new ones should now give the correct percentage off.

Then the text on the sales page is still misleading, as it still says: "Buy any new release and get 80% OFF* featured Cyclopian items below"

A restriction is only mentioned as "Buy any Gothic New Release and get 60% OFF¥ featured artist catalogs"

Tried it with different new releases from last couple days and only those from today give the price reduction for featured Cyclopian items.

And even then it's wonky, 'cause when I choose Goblar (PC+ Price: $ 4.99) and Peasant Outfit for G3M (PC+ Price: $ 4.99) with one of today's items, Goblar is reduced to $ 1.00 (94%) and the Peasant Outfit to $ 0.40 (98%).

It still says 80% off with any new release and it still doesn't give 80% off with any new release. DAZ should honor their ad.

I totally disagree, but then again, everyone these days gets offended by something. I am a born and raised Texan and have relatives that fit this sterotype to a tee, and I find this funny as hell. Sterotypes exist because they are based on reality, embrace it or change it.

Never said that my observations about it reflected my personal opinon of the choice of ad-copy, @FSMCDesigns

In fact, I suppose you can't totally disagree with me, because on a personal level, I agree with you completely. But that doesn't mean that this ad copy wasn't going to bother people...

@Marble... I noticed the same things. It consumes a tremendous amount of memory and is crashing out my 8gb Geforce 1070. I'm using the free texture reducers and texture resizers to make things fit. I imagine you could remove textures outside or inside depending on what scene you were focused on.

Despite that, the trailer tongue, both texture and design, is a little rough. I also think where the awning meets the structure looks unfinished, and the ground plane also leaves a lot to be desired on the grass and driveway.

I haven't looked around inside much... but what I saw looked pretty good.

Overall... it is a huge set with a lot of details that people would pay that much just for the one set... a furnished bathroom, bedroom, living room, exterior... so it is hard to judge it too harshly for its few faults. It does seem to render really quickly once you get it to fit into your video memory, too.

But you're probably going to want to do some retexturing of a few elements with your own shader presets, and maybe do some texture reduction or remove unused elements from your scene before you render - and if you've got a real old rig without a lot of video memory... this one may need too much horsepower.

*shrug* I pretty much had all the stuff that was 80% off anyway... at least anything that I was remotely interested in.  Fantasy items occur in sales regularly, particularly older ones.  If you missed them on this sale, I'm sure there will be another.

Side note:  The scroll sections without opening up a page are pretty ineffective on getting me to participate in a sale.  Since they don't exclude items I already own, it is far too much trouble to try and find anything I can use.  You lose me as a customer for sales like that because they are simply too much work.

(Besides - I blew my budget yesterday on that sale :P )

Yeah, I got around to trying interior shots and it turns out to be an onerous task.Very difficult to light and camera angles are so restricted. The renders I've tried so far have turned out grainy and so very slow - even after adding some fairly strong Ghost Lights. I may end up returning this which is not something I do often or easily.

Use an Iray Section Plane (Create menu) to give yourself freedom to place the camera outside the interior - turn on Clip Lights in the Parametrs pane so lighting and reflections still look right.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Jamie (Daz Sales).  I'm sure that a few of us here appreciate her and the rest of the team's efforts r.e. customer support!

I wish there was a way we could say 'thanks' using the help ticket system without changing the status from 'solved' to 'open'.  My mom and dad taught me to always say thank you, so I did...

    Stop submitting tickets, LOL

On a serious note, I submitted a ticket on a product that didn't work/was faulty and it oook pover a month to be adrressed. Emmalee was amazing and helpful, but I couldn't help but wonder if they are backed up due to the time it took to come to a conclusion. And then I see users that encourage other users to submit tickets when a sale price doesn't match by a dollar or two and wonder if these kinds of tickets are causing issues with CS.

That's a good suggestion for the camera angles but there were just too many problems with the set so I returned it for store credit. Maybe one day, if I ever get a 16GB VRAM GPU, I'll grab it and try again.

By the way - having just had dealings with Jamie on a couple of issues, I find myself appreciating the fact that my concerns are addressed but a little frustrated with the stock responses from support in general. Nevertheless, there is a way to signal your appreciation: there is a survey question after the ticket is closed so I confirmed that I am happy and left a note of apprciation for Jamie.

That is too bad. It is a great idea, but it seems like it was done a little too ambitiously for fairly powerful modern PCs.

Mousso seems to have made sisters! I did a double take when I saw them. And look how similar the names are. Incredibly clever if this theme is going to continue and we can get some truly related characters.

I think Mackenzie is slightly older. The parents got right back to work as soon as that bundle was delivered.

And this is one of the finest characters.

Very distinctive. I like that and Aeon Soul's character and that other "everything Pretty" character with the sharp features.

Many of them have similar eyes and facial features. I notice that too.

Even Delilah and Michiko (Asian) look similar to those you've listed.

Emery and Delilah are definitely sisters. Michiko has one Asian parent.
