Mystical glowing pool.

Hey guys,

I want to know if there is a way to make a pool of water look like it is glowing from underneath the water differrent colors.

    You could try creating lights and lowering them in the water so they glow into the area.  If you want multiple different colors create as many lights as needed and set each one to the desired color.  This is one purple light in the middle under the water.

    Thanks, which light are you using (spot light, linear point, or just point light)?

    Check out the promo of the backlit pool using Rim Light Rig Iray. The water fountain promo is also cool too using 3 light rigs. I have this product and I really like it!

    He also made it for 3Delight initially here.

    Thanks, MarcCCTx and dawnblade. I real like Rim Light Rig lray, I think that is what I will use.

    Maybe just using a primitive plane underwater with a uber Iray light shader can do the job?

    Depends a bit on the effect that is supposed to be achieved I guess...
