If you're a member of the PC+, there's a Dazaholics meeting in the Members Only form. It's jammed full too, so you might want to bring extra cookies ;)

I don't think we're ever supposed to actually catch up.

Duh, I just keep trimming mine for the stuff I actually want. I just wish I could mark a few as "priority" within the wishlist, so I can buy them as soon as they get on sale with a good discount.

My wishlist grew to accommodate parrotdolphin's new shaders this morning, but I've a feeling it will have shrunk to the tune of the same by the end of the day and my bank account with it. A constantly growing wishlist does at least indicate some degree of restraint :)

You can create categories within your wishlist with the addon: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/106296/announcing-daz-deals-browser-add-on/p1

I have a category called #ASAP which is easy to access, always at the top of the list. I check these most often and buy them as soon as they go on any kind of sale. I have close to a thousand items in my wishlist, most of them waiting for a big discount before I buy them, but I only have two items in my #ASAP list. It's really easy to keep them in sight this way.

My wishlist currently stands at 3358, I doubt I will ever make a dent in it. (And that is after going through and weeding out the oldest stuff and stuff I would probably never use anymore.)

    It does?

If you live somewhere that pays for recycling, you can use that money as fun Daz money (unless you use it for necessities.) I made $25 yesterday just bringing in a bunch of water bottles that I had been accumulating laugh

  • Well I can definitely say my runtime grows at a faster pace than my wishlist...not sure if that's a good thing or not. ;-)

I used the script that lets you add up the prices on your wishlist and holy crap that was scary. My wishlist currently sits at $59,043 without any sale prices subtracted. That's lotto win level lol. Like in 11 years I have bought $24,457 worth of stuff. But it only came to $4,868 because of sales. So like... if I got literally everything at it's lowest sales price at the rate I have currently spent because of budget issues it would still like be like... over 19 years to buy it all lol. Assuming not adding literally anything else to the list over the next 19 years. lol. Remind me to buy a lotto ticket.

What I do is sum the non-sale price, then count with an average of 60% discount. That's still more than what I'll end up paying because DO items will be discounted more, PC+ items even more. (And some items I look at and ask myself what the heck I was thinking wishlisting it? :) And there I go, one less item on the wishlist. :))

@FWIW: Wow! 11 years and you only have $24,457 worth of stuff. I may need some damage control on spending. I have been actively buying stuff mostly because of sales for the past couple of months. As I see it, I have $20,179 in full price value (already) for $814 total spent..

  • @Ati has the option to show the total value of your purchases on daz vs the amount actually spent in his plugin.  I tried that once and was stunned at how much I had collected over the years here.

Has anyone ever looked at the results of that 'What have I spent here?' feaure twice? If so, I'm in awe. I could only ever manage it the once, and that was enough :)

Well, I have spent way too much.  I won't mention the total dollar amount but over 11 years I have collected over 10,000 items at an average cost of 13% of the total value (i.e. 87% off)
