This works backward, too, from gen 8 to gen 3.

i started that topic a while back it has some links to free scripts. They are not perfect but work reasonable well.
As for the package [posted by Ati, never used it but that developer makes quality stuff so might be worth it if you plan on using it a lot.
One of RiversoftArt's scripts will convert backwards as well. I will have to go track down which one it is.
