Can't get dforce to work

So I finally tried dforce, downloaded and installed the open gl thing and it looks like it's working till the end when I get an error message to check the log. This is where the error begins. Anyone (@RichardHazeltine ?) know what went wrong?? Thanks

  • Open CL and Open GL are two different things. DForce requires either your GPU or CPU to support a specific version of Open CL (not Open GL).

I downloaded the one that is on the Start Here section about dforce... opencl_runtime_16.1.3_x64_setup.msi

  • Ok, that's for your Intel CPU. What OpenCL device did you specify in Daz Studio, GPU or CPU?

CPU, my laptop is CPU only.

@wonderland, when you ran and installed that runtime thingy did it ask you to uninstall something as well?  That's where I stopped the process because I was nervous about uninstalling something.  I am actually using a CPU only system at the moment so I am keeping an eye on your progress.  I have been left behind on the dforce train, still waiting for a cab to get to the station.

Yes, I uninstalled the original Intel graphic driver. Everything runs fine with the new one, but I still can't get dforce to work... Where is @RichardHazeltine ???

@wonderland, have you tried to get something smaller to work, like a simple blanket in the test scene that comes with the dforce package? On first glance I'd say you are running into an out of memory error.
