ok heres the thing

i use the geometry editor to detail and change the color of my clothing.

but what happens is when i use the editor i cant seem to keep the circle moving all over  so my trims end up

getting all scrambled. is there anyway i  can do this and have it in a straight line so it looks smooth  thanks so much

    You can change the tool style to Lasso or Marquee. You don't have to leave it in Drag/Paintbrush mode.

    You can also zoom in.

    You can also change the diameter of the brush in Drag mode.

    You can also hold Alt and Ctrl to add to or subtract from a selection, you don't have to do it all at once.

    Just be aware the Lasso and Marquee will select through to the other side, while the Drag/Paintbrush mode will not.

    In addition, it all depends on the modeling and the polygon size and placement

    You can also select by first choosing a polygon (or more) then expand the selection or select by a loop. Right click in the viewport and choose Geometry Selection and you'll see a long list of options which can help. If you have trouble getting them all at once, assign what you've chosen to a Selection Set (Right click in the viewport and choose Geometry Assignment). Keep adding to the selection set, then when done, pick it from the list in the Geometry Editor pane.

    hi how do i use the lasso tool   it keep disappearing

    What do you mean? What are you trying to select - perhaps if someone has the same model they will be bale to do a walk-though showing you how the tools and options work.

    You need to have at least one complete polygon inside the lasso, or it will disappear.
