Try the geometry editor, you can hide any part of any mesh
cant find big toe, big toe 2 listed in geometry, only goes down to ltoe or rtoe?
totally baffled
Doesn't matter with the geometry editor, it's all the same mesh when selecting.
individual toes cant be made invisble with the eye icon on scene tab?
With the geometry editor, not the eye icon
why cant they fix it so the eye icons work?????
do daz know it doesnt work????
well, i submitted a help ticket, doesnt look like theres a separate bug tracker these days.
cant imagine they dont know it doesnt work.
The toes are a single bone in Genesis 8, which the Scene pane eye icon hides - there's nothing to fix. I didn't check other figures. If you want separate bones for each toe you could make that a feature request for next version of Genesis, though they will onviously be weighing different kinds of usability against each other in assessing such requests. In the meantime the Geometry Editor is the fix - though you could then add your own toe bones and assign the selected polygons to them as their Selection Group, which would give you an entry in the Scene pane with an eye icon.
but, there is an eye icon in scene tab
cant they fix it sooner?
geometry editor fix will be a pain to keyframe

Just tried this - the bones are there, they bend the toes individually, but making the eye-icon invisible doesnt hide the toe - you can only hide all the toes together with the Right Toes' eye-icon.
Also can't select individual toes in the viewport - only by going into the scene-tab. Not sure how this works but it is a little odd.
All bones have an eye icon, but the geometry in the figure you are using belongs to the toes bone not the individual toe bones. You could feature request a third state for the eye icon, and the selectable icon, to indicate that the bone has no mesh. But for hiding the individual toe in this figure you'd still need to use the Geometry Editor to seelct the toe mesh you wanted (and you could then define it as a group and assign that group to the to bone using the Tool Settings pane with the Joint Editor active, at which point it would be hidden with the eye icon).
how would i save it after doing that?
ty
a yt tutorial would help make ithe process clearer
A scene or Scene Subset would save it
how do i save it so all my g8f girls have the toes?
if i save it to a product, my girls will be cut off from future g8f purchases
doesnt work on g3f either
sigh might as well go back to poser 7 and vicki4 (facepalm)
I don't remember V4 having individual toe bones so I don't think you would be any better off.
A scene saved with the modified grouping should still lod morphs and wear conforming clothes, since the rigging and vertex count are unchanged.
