[I found a ninch for a PA willing too...].. make a pose converter for genesis 3 to genesis2 or genesis . I was doing a search for a pose converter for g3 to g2 & with all the pose converters that are offered in the daz store this is one that seems to be mising in the search results.
There is a converter for g2 to g3 but no reverse converter. for g3 to g2 is it just to hard to convert g3 poses to g2? or has no one thought of it? or maybe its just a waste of time for someone to develope it?
I think there is a nich to be filled here if it has not been already . but i could not find a g3 to g2 pose converter in the store myself.. so I am assuming there isn't one.
peanut gallery opinons welcomed

That is what I thought . that the differences were so far apart between these generations that it could not be done created with any satisfactory results
Thank you very much for your reply
Since we have a 2 to 3 converter (that works reasonably well IMHO), I can not see why a 3 to 2 would be any more complicated, I just imagine that the potential sales would be much lower. If this was going to be done, it would have had the best chance of commercial success around 3 years ago when G3 was released and many people was sticking with G2 for a while. These days I suspect a lot less people are still using G2.
It can be done. If I remember correctly MCphylyss did an amazing pose converter that will convert from any Genesis generation to any other Genesis generation.
Oh and there's this: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/137491/converting-g3-poses-to-g2-it-works/
These are my thoughts also. Can't imagine putting in the work for a commercial project for a very small percentage of users on an older product line. Don't get me wrong, I love using G2F still, especially with the cayman map transfer product, but I have no need to purchase anything new for that figure..
well you all make good points, But unfortunately there are people like me that are not buying anything more than Genesis and g3 content that can be contervted to genesis2 ( I don't want to start a this is better than that . But I have some very good reasons for not wanting to use g3/8 in my projects.)
I have g3 to g2 clothes converter, I have aniblocks converter to geness 2 , but no pose converter for g3 to g2 . kind of silly don't you think seeming this store still sells older character? So yes those sales would properly be rare for a g3 tog2 pose converter, compared to the genesis8 band wagon. that wants g2 to g3 . But I'm not one of them people and I spend a shit load of money here. So if there no converter, which THERE IS potential sales being lost to the people like me that would buy genesis 3/8 content other wise., even if we are rare breed apart from the regular user. , So if there is anyway if I can retrofit or convert g3 content to work with genesis2 I'll buy. If not, oh well life goes on, and I'll continue as always no sale of g3 from me if I can't work with it in older generations. we have genesis for generation 4 we have genesis 2 for genesis and generation 4 but no g3 to g2 .? It's Okay no biggie I was just asking. so you see there is a nitch here to be filled
Thank you for the link I'll try to see if I can work with this :)
Try this: https://www.sharecg.com/v/89846/view/8/Script/Daz3d-Pose-Converter-Standalone
It's Ah-May-Zing! :)
Awesome thanks Diva
Bugger thought its does not work for g3 to g2 just g2 to g3
No, it works on any Genesis figure to any other Genesis figure. Supports G1, G2, G3, and G8 - backwards or forwards.
It was throwing me a error codes at first, i think it may have been conficting with another script i had . so I moved it to another location folder and bingo. works like a charm.. thanks diva
You're welcome! :) I'm really happy that @MCphylyss created it and posted it! It's really an awesome script/program!
Thank you again, @MCphylyss - your pose converter is awesome!

OMG
Thank you for that link. I've been slowly moving everything I can from V4/M4 and G2 to G8 and the last bit I think I needed was poses. Now that's fixed :)
