Td3d - Electric Guitar Set Freebie

This is a sample of what I got coming. Had to try out some ideas. These are very basic and have only a default Iray texture. I don't have the time to create poses for these ones and well, they may as well be earning zero in your runtime also. If you like these, you'll like my even better set better when they're done.

Hope you enjoy them ppl :)

    Hi,

    the props look nice.
But there are some missing files or misplaced files on loading the props.
    (see attachment)

    P.S.
Ah, perhaps you sould say, that the guitar has to be parented to the stand first, before using the pose preset: "place on stand".

Thank you Andy, Am looking at that right now. The file it wants is actually in the newly named /Electric-V MkII/.. folder. It is for the trussrod cover. My deepest appologies. I have saved a new file and updated the .zip on drive. In the shorter term, just point it towards the file shown. Same file different folder name.

As for the stand, It is just thrown in there. It belongs to a set I am having poses made for and wanted to test the idea of a rigging template for my guitars. These sitting on the stand were what I needed to see that it worked. My tester is not a PA, so there were complications why I couldn't sent this set to him (was originally meant for a larger package). I just checked that again and well, load the guitar and stand, select the guitar in the scene and click "place on stand". ...done. I just tried them both again. But yes, if you parent the guitar to the stanf first you can place the stand anywhere and the guitar will go to it. Though it will land on the stand if they are in the un-parented default load position and then parented also. This is exactly why I get other people to do my posing stuff) But it won't let me save as a parented prop because they are not weightmapped or something. Could save out a parented sub-scene, but you'll have heaps of guitars to get rid of and things to delete if you only want a guitar or stand.

Oh, if you look in the Parameters Pane, you will see a morph to adjust the stand height, so you can use it with other guitars. It will load @30% by default for these two guitars.

The link is the same, it has the updated (prop and default mats) file saves in it: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-YRJZ4329t-azJzQ2dhb2M4dDA

    I've attached them here also.

Nice one ANGELREAPER1972! Love your work, so I know that these are just a precurser to an even bigger scene. Awesome :)

Here's a tip... all these guitars were made (rigged) upon the same scaling template I made (basses included). What ever poses you create for these guitars can be applied to all of them. Have tested the theory and it works well. Reffer to images. Here's how to do it.

    - Pose your Base Character (Genesis to Genesis 3m/8f)and one guitar (unparented)

    - Copy the Guitar Translation Only (X,Y,Z's etc).

    - Load all guitar (Super-V, Electric-V MkII, HB-Acoustic, HB-Electric and T-Bass) and from Zoro position, Paste those parameter settings ("paste pose to selected object?" - click Yes).

    - Once all guitars are in that pose, Parent them ALL to the Left Hand (or where-ever).

    - Save out the Character pose a s a HPP (making sure that you include all guitars in the preset)

    - Load a scene, Load any one of those guitars Make sure it's parented to the Character's ( All these came with a universaly standard Wearable preset anyway based upon this guide) and use the saved HPP.

    - When you use that preset it will pose what ever guitar you have in the scene. The others don't have to all be loaded.

These images will show you what I am talking about. Everything pivits at the 14th fret. Perfect for posing them. You will only have to tweak the parented hand/wrist to get the guitar to look good (due to body shapes) However the guitars will all slide perfectly through the hands due to their correctly shaped necks. Any hand presets you have made will work on any of them due to this.

Thanks again for sharing these images. Hope you can get some value from this tip :)

Wow! absolutely love these images. Great use of these guitars ANGELREAPER1972 and Martial. I still haven't had a chance to do anything myself, so this is great seeing what you guys are doing. If this is a work in progress, I am keen to see the end result.... :)

Thank you for the feedback good ppl. Have had a lot of downtime. Done a huge relocation up to the rainforest with a new computer and some nice software to get my head around. Satelite internet, makes time online limited though. Good to go again just the same :)

    ...again thanks for the support.

Hi Saphirewild, and thank you. Yeah it's been pretty busy here. Just released a new product with poses ( https://www.daz3d.com/nostalgic-camera-for-genesis-8 ) and am frantically creating some even bigger stuff to get the year rolling as it should. One of my projects will heve a few leftovers (test/conceptual versions) that won't be in the final packages. They will surely make it into your freebies forum :) ...be later on though. ...am playing serious catch-up atm :)

Great to see you back Td3d!!
