How to translate a figure during a walk cycle?

Hi guys! I have a problem with some walk cycles. When I load the walk cycles on my figures from this user, I don't have traslation:

https://www.sharecg.com/v/81073/browse/11/Poser/v4-run-cycle#commentAnchor

He has awesome walk cycles, but the problem is they don´t have traslation, the figures stay in the same place during the cycle. I've tried to save the animation traslating the figure in the end frame in a z position, but when I load the saved walk cycle, the figure goes to the original end z postion I saved.

Any idea how can I save these animations with traslation correctly? I hope you can help me guys!

Try parenting your figure to a null and translate the null!

Go up to create/new null. You will be asked to name the new null then click ok. Go to the scene tab and you should see your null object there. Just drag your figure onto the null to parent it.

Excuse me, where is the create/new null option in Poser? I can't find it in anywhere.

Oh sorry mate, I didn't realise you were a Poser user, I was talking DS. Hope some Poser user can help you out!

It's okay. I'll see if I can get it in Daz then.

    Hi
You must select the hip at the last frame in the poser graph editor and increase the Z
axis translation until his forward motion is in synch with his foot steps

    (See attached image )

When I go to the Graph, some dots appears which don't let me to incrase the z traslation in straight line. How do you get it?

Any other idea guys? I still don't get the figure traslates during the walk cycle, I mean, I can't save it with traslation.

Uhumm, I've never used Poser but can't you parent your figure to some object and make it invisible, then perform the z-translation on that object?

It doesn't work, I mean it works in the scene, but if I save the animation and load it again, the figure stays in the same place, even if I select Body transformation :(

Anymatter, the creator of the animations, knows how to do it. Unfortunately there's no way to contact him, because he has been offline for a long time :(

Ok, see what you mean, but can't help you with animation inside Poser:( Try asking in the Poser discussion forum, I'm sure you'll find someone who knows how to fix it;)

Hey guys did you know there are walk paths build in Poser? (at least there where these paths as I tryed ancient Poser)

An advantage of Poser are these walkpaths that can be manipulated like a bezier curve on the floor.

Some similar approach for DS is this "Walk It Plugin" from GenerationX link: http://www.pilning.net/about.html

    Demonstration Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoXU5BLO-ms

Actualy this was the first thing I try as I changed from Poser to Daz - I used the Walkeditor on V4 then I load in the environment from DS into Poser and after animating I get the motion path from Poser with a BHV file into DazStudio.

Here I found a Youtube Video explayning the process WalkDesigner + Walk Paths: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_oFtWlxxys

@ 4:40 the WalkPath is mentioned

That is because there is a key frame on every frame for the HIP

Select & delete everyone except the last one and change
     its value.
