Products I bought a long time ago suddenly showing up in DIM

After I purchase products, I usually download them all through DIM withing a day or so.  Today I noticed that the install list includes things I purchased a long time ago.  For example - SY decrackifier, Olenna hair, line render 9000 and Xolani.  I don't usually check that each product downloaded but I'm a bit perplexed that they would just now show up.  If these were updates, they'd show up under the updates section of DIM, right?  So, any idea what is happening?

  • Perhaps the creator updated them for Genesis 8?

Good thought but I just checked and that does not appear to be the case.

  • Have you recently moved files on your computer around? There is one folder of files (manifest files I believe) that tracks what has been downloaded. Moving the installed files or the installers won't change the DIM listing, but moving or removing the manifest files could make DIM think you have never downloaded a product.

No Ihaven't moved anything, I'm always fearful of messing things up, lol

I think the DIM update just unhid a lot of things that I'd previously hidden, like rons brushes and such (because I install those manually).  Other hidden files were the content that I originally just copied from my desktop to the external drive.  When I started using DIM for the external drive, I must have hidden all the past content (because they were already in my external drive and there was no need to download again).  So when the new DIM update "unhid" the items I'd left on "hide" - they all suddenly appeared as to be installed.  I figured it out bec after I updated DIM on the desktop, it too had about 500 "installs" - but they were all the types of things I always hide (rons and other brushes, videos etc).

I had two products that I used to have in the Daz store suddenly show up in my list. They're old, no longer are sold here and they're for Victoria 3..lol. Weird ;)

I think they're still working through the back catalogue, as I had about a dozen show up.
