The 10% issue has been reported - I think FW Jace is the same effective issue, it's supposed to be still New but is getting only the 10% extra for PC and not the base 30% (40% off base, 10% off that is 46% - 47% might just be rounding).
It looks like Winterblack Tower has been corrected;. Any chance these could be corrected also?

Now, see, Daz. You get the discounts right and people will buy. I wasn't going to spend any more money this sale, but with discounts working as advertised, I ended up spending another $15.
My purchases have been way down this sale too, and I haven't been checking in to the forum to see if there are tips on any good glitches - if there is a tip in the forum, the glitch is already fixed, and if it isn't fixed, it is never in the customer's favor, this sale event. The prices were not as deep, and the free stuff was not as generous this time around either - Daz may have made more money off me this time, but they lost a lot of my enthusiasim. I saw very few orange banners this sale, too. This last couple of days if you put a couple of cheap "still new" items in your basket and looked in the "classic genesis and G2" and "daz originals" categories, there were some pretty good stacking deals there. I probably didn't explore that as fully as I would have because I didn't notice until too late how good the stacking was there.

I think I purchase at least a couple of things every day, save for the weekend and yet I saw NO orange banners at all :(. Last time I remember a lot of really great orange banners popping up. I still have no idea why some people get banners and others do not. It feels like the selection of people who get them is quite random.
I ended up spending more than twice as much this year as last year during the same sale. So the sale was pretty successful from that perspective. I did enjoy it, though not as much as last year's. To be honest, though, last year was my first PC+ sale, so that probably plays a big role in excitement level. I also only did one BYOB this year, whereas I remember purchasing several last year. Last year the BYOB was really fun and exciting. This year it was kind of "meh" for me (except when they added quite a few characters - which was really great! That was the BYOB I had to pounce on!).
I still have some of the Dream Home rooms that I really want to get as well as some of the Christmas textures for some of the sets I already have. I SHOULD get them. I don't know why I don't, other than if I finally have all the Dream Home collection that will be that, no more Dream Home to collect, and I also won't have as much to look forward to for the BYOB for next year.
Yeah, last year they had a bunch of orange banners for the Daz Originals "7 figure" line. This year there weren't any orange banners, as far as I can tell.
They are based on an algorithm. If you own or bought this you get that sort of thing. It's more complex than that but that's just the idea.
Yeah, there are some which have been like that (and the logic is clear). But then I'd gotten others in the past that seem more random, with giving a discount based on buying "x" amount from "x" list. I remember some people got those and others do not. Some people had bought items every day and got them, some people hadn't bought items at all and got them. So it was confusing. Felt like it was pure luck if you got it (like winning at a lottery haha). And if so, I wonder if how successful is that strategy (and if it's measurable vs a more logic based strategy)?
To me it seems that when you reward someone for their loyalty, people would have more incentive to buy (again, I'm speculating) than when you leave it to the luck of the draw. For example: buying "x" amount of products in "x" amount tof time OR spending "x" amount of $ on "x" range of days... that’s something people can keep track on and (if the offers are good) might make them buy things they wouldn't just to get that discount. But, that's just food for thought :)
Keep in mind that the banners are only a notification that we've had a Site Message telling us that the DAZ Fairy has smiled on us. And they don't always work, sometimes appearing late or not at all. The important thing is the message itself (click on the little blue man icon in the top right corner, select "Messages", and click on the "Exclusive Offers" button to see if there's anything there. It's the same message that appears when you click on the banner, or go to your Account page. I usually check as often as I remember to, just in case the banner's glitched again.
Yeah... I finished almost all of my Dreamhome, I think. Who was it who said this is like collecting digital Barbies? Saying, "I finished almost all of my Dreamhome," made me feel that in a profound way. Heh.
ANYHOW...
This sale wasn't terrible. But it wasn't just being *new* last year... last years sales were way better.
And the banners - I got a couple of them, usually for owning some previous generation - but the focus was so hard and heavy on G8 and the characters that hit, there were only a few of them... V8, M8, TJ8 and Monique 8.
They cost too much - I wasn't impressed with the bundle packages, and honestly, I think G8 is a step backwards in realism in a lot of ways. The skin maps look worse to me, I think the characters are kind of long-faced in general - and without GenX morph transfer capabilities - I don't know... seems like by the time I get UVs, and skin map transfer and pose transfer scripts and everything else... then hassle with the manual morph transfer...
G3F seems like a better deal to me. I was hoping to see more, deeper discounts on the remaining G2 and G3 pro characters I don't have - but really, I never saw those go to the lows that would have made me jump.
So... it was an anti-climatic sale for me.

Another not so good deal on gift cards. Just to cover the cost of the cheapest new release, you have to purchase a $130.00 gift card. And even then it comes up to $130.68. So ...you're getting a new release for .68 cents if you buy a $130.00 gift card. Not really a good deal unless you were already planning on getting that new release.
Ditto: After the PC+ sale my store credit definitely needs replenishing; but there are no new releases I really need. So, today will just be a pass for me.
Same. I have been waiting for a good gift card sale to replenish my store credit (I never purchase anything without store credit these days considering how many purchase glitches people have been reporting lately). But this one was definitely a let down and not nearly enough to make me want to purchase a gift card yet.
I loved the 'Jump Start Your Shopping Spree' e-mail header. Good luck with that one. I've spent so much this month that it would take more than a gift card offer to jump start my November shopping spree. It's dead, deceased, and making like a Monty Python parrot :)
Mixed for me. 3 BYOBs, if I recall, and the Ivan pro pack, that was a useful one.
The highlight for me was that I've been waiting for a good price on Mei Lin 7, and she was free!
But most of the freebies were kind of... bland.
And no gift card, G8 does nothing for me, so I don't need any of the qualifying releases.
People insist that DAZ folks are marketing genuises that know what they're doing, well, okay.
But over the span of the sale, I spent more at "The Other Website".
Come to think of it, I've been doing that for a while.
I think a lot of that is because I've got almost everything I want from here, and the new offerings
are going in a direction that I don't care to follow.
Lots of stuff elsewhere that I still don't have.
Same here. Grabbed the last 5 I didn't have just to "complete" the set. Though only because they cost almost nothing.
I'm totally happy with the PC+ sale. I managed to pick up many things I wanted, love and can use. Some had been on my wishlist a while too. Glad to see PC+ items expanding with the Surreality and Liquid Rust additions, to name a few. Bought some amazing items for pennies, got my 3D Barbie Dream Home completed, and picked up some cool new stuff too. I'm hugely happy with Monique 8 Pro and was thrilled to get the Monique 7 Pro bundle (finally!) for free. Great sale, great deals. PC+ is probably my favorite sale, along with the PA Festival. My poor wallet!
I spent more on the other website this time than I *ever* have before. Bought quite a few of their sets/scenes. Their deals have improved, while DAZ's have gone the opposite direction, making them both kind of meet in the middle. As a matter of fact, I spent so much at the other store I ended up with $15 of their bonus bucks. That is the first time in the almost two years I've been at this hobby I've spent enough money to get cash-back rewards from their site.
The funny thing is that today's NON PC+ sale is so average, is is almost like the actual PC+ sale didn't end. ;)
It wasn't a TERRIBLE sale, Llynara, don't get me wrong. I agree - some of the highlights above, like Ivan 7 and Mei-Lin were nice. I finally got Faceshop Artist Pro at one of its lowest prices in the last 16 months... But It wasn't the day-after-day of outrages sales and unending freebies with consistently great deals and discounts on memberships and gift cards that PREVIOUS sales were. Mostly it seemed like a month of Genesis 8 promotional sales.
And there were glitches, but if they lasted all day after being reported, they always favored DAZ. If they favored the customer and they got reported, they were fixed within the hour. Not how I want my "and more glitches," part of "there is always another sale," to work. ;)
And I know a lot of my feedback on the sale has been negative this time around.
I think it is important to let a merchant honestly know when you are excited and engaged with their marketing and promotions, so that they know what they are doing is working.
I also think it is important to let those merchants know when you are disappointed with their efforts. If they think everyone is happy, and the sales numbers don't show otherwise, they have no reason to think they should change anything.
Hopefully when the dust settles here, the message from their bottom line and the customer feedback in this forum is, "we liked things the way they were before more than how they were this time around."
I agree! Of course, I remember last sale was so exciting, but it was my first PC+ Sale as well, so I didn't own a lot o f the things that had amazing discounts. This time, I own a lot, so there wasn't a big selection + there's the Gen8 bandwagon I don't want to climb into right now (I like Gen3). Nontheless, I still got some really cool things! Probably the best thing I got was Damian Pro Bundle for $16 USD (or less) and Tara 2 HD (I wanted those wings so bad!) for $7 USD! Sure it was a glitch, but it made my month! I also got plenty of BYOB (at least 11). The ones I didn't really care for where the Plat Anniversary Bundles, but that's just me.
Though I do agree with @donovancolbert and others that the price glitches were frequent and made me hesitant to check out (except for the time that glitch was in my favor. I checked out in a second!).

If you really want to complete the set though... there's poses to go along with most furniture options. They're PC+, but they never went on actual sale. And even at only 2 bucks each, I'm not sure I want more V4 poses.
I really enjoyed the back to back sales over the last 2 months. my wallet took a knocking but there was some crazy prices this time around.
Looks like I already have these. Plus pose converters for V4 to any Genesis generation. Now I only need to buy me some time to use all that stuff.
My 2cts : as many have said like me, most oldies daz players already have a lot of stuff, especially in the v4 to g2 range. I was focused mostly on G3: I am quite disapointed on what they offered through this 2 month sales. Maybe I have to wait more to see those G3 pro bundles on -REAL- sales (like around 15 bucks each). I didn't jump at all on the G8 wagon, I prefer to complete the G3 range which is actually really rich and covers most of my needs.
I hope that the end of year sales will be great again, like last year. (got tons of things at super discount)
