I'm looking for a druse/druy model like the one in the image. Does anyone know where I can find one?

Looks like I'll have to go the custom model way.
knowing what a colleugue paid fo a realtively smaal one of those I do wonder how much that display of amethyst is valued at.

I bought a medium sized one for $200usd quit a few years ago when theose Brazilian lava tube geodes first came on the market. Even then some of the larger cathedrals were $400 - $500.
You might end up having to kitbash it for the geometry, and apply a shader for the amethyst. I know I've seen plenty of crystals in various stores (here and Rendo, mostly), Usually as parts of larger sets. They can be scaled down, or the crystal portion separated out with the geometry editor and scaled down. Finding a hollow rock, or something to use as a hollow rock, might be a bit tricky, but since the crystals are inside, it shouldn't matter too much if they intersect each other. (Depending on how close you intend to render it.)
I wonder if high displacement on a noise texture map could simulate the crystals? People used to do displacement fur, which at least did appear to be a texture with dimension.
Yes, the hollow rock is the tricky part... but I thought I can perhaps kitbash the rock, too. I'll have to experiment and see.
The noise texture might work for smaller crystals, but if I want the sparkle, I'll need proper structure.
If you were doing an extreme closeup were you can't see more than just the very lip of the outside edges or viewing from the inside out, you might be able to use https://www.daz3d.com/tropical-cave as a hollow rock, with the camera positioned just above the main opening. And of course if you were completely inside the geode you could use the inside of any rock.
There is a half geode in this set https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/crystal-valley/107929/ , and although the crystals are very large you could always hide them and then line the interior with your own smaller crystals from elsewhere.
Perhaps you could also take something like a bowl, pot, or glass and deform it into the desired partly-open geode shape.
A displacement map that has crystal points would be super handy, however given that it would be deformed when mapped to random hollow objects it would be a little tricky. It might still work if tiled though, especially if the crystals would be slightly randomized in size and shape anyway.

They are totally stunning. A colleague bought one, back when I was still working. Like you I only a have a small bit of one ;- similar to this Amethyst
Extremely new to Daz Studio, so having a hard time working out how to package the files for sharing. It's created from multiple imported .obj files with custom textures and shaders, but I've also done some corrective scaling using a group in Daz Studio... I may have to re-import as a single object and save it that way. Things seem to operate a bit differently in daz than I'm used to; anyone have links to decent tutorials on prop export/packaging?
I prefer sliced agates, as they make great map anchors for tabletop gaming. Some even have a hole in the middle with druzy edges. Would probably need a similar process to model them.
Aye, I had one of those as well, large enough to be used as a table mat. Unfortunately between the cats and moving it got broken into 2 halves
I've never called geodes "druse". The term ("druse" = bumps, "drusy" = bumpy) generally refers to crystals so small that they sparkle and shimmer without really showing crystal shapes, i.e. 1mm cystals seen from 200-300mm.
