Ehhhh. That is the default in any other field.
No, if I'm a movie director and scene I wrote calls for a Persian rug and the ones we find cost too much or puts us over budget....
We use a knock off or use a camera angle to suggest XYZ or even go to digital effects and texturing, what I don't do is learn to make my own rug to save costs.
And when you keep coming up with hurdles that make your production difficult, you make another project first, something that doesn't require as many resources, prove yourself and gain those resources and THEN make that super-project you couldn't afford to make earlier in your career. Most creatives have more than one good idea. Make the one that's easiest or possible first.
Better you do that than expect Daz to change its entire store and sales engine to accomodate a small group of users with strange, self-imposed range of requirements.
I NEED TONS OF CONTENT!
So buy the PC+ card and ENJOY building a monster library, heck - these ads are meant for you!
Go nuts buying old stuff for a few bucks....a piece.
Buy in BULK.
Plan ahead - look at your scroll and book of scripts/story ideas and shop for the future.
Buying stuff as you need it does lead to full-price anxiety. lol
I really hope they have the 10 items for $3 sections this Anniversary...
I wonder what the hold up is? October is nearly halfway over. Last years PC+ sale was the best time I've had shopping! I got so much great content for super cheap! I hope they start the PC+ sale soon and I hope it's as good as last year's.
The past several years the PA Sale ran longer than a month -- the PC Anniversary will run for a full month starting whenever the PA Sale ends.
Where does that compare to March Madness?
That, so far, has been the ultimate shopping experience.
that was pretty cool shared it on my fb and said created by you using daz 3d
I liked it too. I just couldn't get good audio from that upload.
It played slow on my machine/feed.
Thanks !!!
Wow... nice animation.
Thanks!!

@avxp try the download arrow link at the upper right
you can see the full quality version.
dont worry I keep them under 300 megabytes
I wouldn't dismiss it outright. FIlms have teams of people that build all kinds of props. Indies do the same, just using duct tape and sheets from their parents basement. I've saved a ton of cash just popping things out in a 3d modeler. For example the other day I needed a sea with a ship's wake in it. I quickly ran a ocean sim in Blender, dragged a ball through it, using collision detection and ten minutes later had my ocean. We have powerful tools available to us, we might as well use them
WOW deja vu After reading this thread and what you said I have one comment . After 8 years of being here and using and buy daz prducts. . That has been the song I have sang for years, the "buy something or 2 somethings to be able to buy what you really want or need at the discount" ploy is silly IMO too. But I can tell you from experience your better off writing a ticket and complaining about it to sales than in the forum threads in the forum it just falls on deaf ears. and assure the next sales promo will be almost the same as the last. and so on, and so on.
I have adopt a policy myself of if I really like the item and I can use it or want that moment, then I should buy regardless of the discount when i can, or other wise i wish list the item for a later date when the item has greatly reduced in price in 6 months to a year. by then it may turn out i really didn't need that said item that bad anyway even with a discount,. saves me frustration and money.
@wolf359
My hat's off to you sir. That was amazing.
And I will come clean and admit I thought you was a little wacky- always talking about animation and beating up on Daz.
Now I see what you are going for.
The visual quality and the ...I don't know...um, pure visual quality.
The Galacticus eyes...all that stuff.
Great job....
Normally comes the part where I give you advice on what you should do with that...
But I think you know already.
Well done.
