These videos are “first draft” quality from an early version of the suit. I am currently redoing them to bring them up to date.
It struck me, however, that you might benefit more from seeing them than not so here you go. Keep in mind that the basic principles are solid, but some of the details are off.
To help you figure out the suit here are 9 videos that will get you started.
Is there a tutorial anywhere on the forum to show how to use items purchased for the supersuit? I purchased the Super Suit Fantasy pack and can't get any aspect of it to show up. Will these tutorials teach that?
Thanks
The videos were very helpful. I did get that Fantasy Supersuit preset to show on the character. I see now that I can't just drag it in. I have to right or left mouse click on the preset in the content library and select load. These are very helpful.
It had been hard for me to use a lot of things until now.
Thank you so much to those who asked about me. I am fine and now returned to the DAZ Community.
I am working on a new supersuit bundle and I am actively providing assistance and support to people with questions about the suit. I will answer as best I can if you are one of those people.

I am hoping they work hand in hand with one another. I ALSO hope they have the "Underwear on the outside" option so prevalen in in the silver and golden age of comics. I would love to seesome identical suits jusr with different edge looped area to make a separate cowl with an edge, devil horns, bat ears and the like.
Relating to Future expansions.... Would you guys rather buy individual supersuit characters like say "CAPTAIN CHAMPION" that came with all the shaders used on him for say $5 or a bundle similar to the current offering?
Welcome back and thank you so much for the super suit videos on youtube! I've watched them twice now. Before that I was kind of well let's say intimidated by the suit so didn't bother with it much. But after your videos I'm actually using it.
I did have a small issue come up and was wondering about advice.
If I create Young Teen 5 Julie, add the Supersuit, and then add the Hazard Medic Trooper preset from the Sci-Fi pack, I get a fair amount of poke through on the lower abdomen and the buttocks in the back. I found another thread where it said the first fix for poke through was to change the displacement value from the default -.10 to 0. I did that and it indeed takes care of most of the poke through. However, there are a few spots. I can of course thicken the suit but and that takes care of it all but I like to show the faces instead of having a helmet. I can use the "Push in Head Region" option and that will show the head and face but it only works on the default layer. So if I thicken the suit, it fixes the poke through but leaves "War Paint" on the face after using the "Push in Head Region" option. I guess I could also hide the body part. On other items, I would use collision or smoothing. I'm not seeing those though.
Any advice? Sorry, I lean toward the idiocy side of learning all of this stuff still.

I tried to duplicate your issue and it didnt happen for me. the Hazard Medic trooper fits Young Julie quite nicely. But I have updated files. this sounds like the little known supersuit bug.
for some reason, when the supersuit was released, there was a flaw in a great many of the presets. there is no overall hip control in many of the dsa files so when you apply a preset, whatever the master hip setting was at the time is carried over to the new shape.
to fix this, adjust the master (top) hip slider until it looks right.
here is how it should look and what the settings should read.
I know the files will be updated soon, but maybe I should make a video anyway
If this isnt your problem, post me some screenies and I will try to figure it out. the only other thing I can think of is an improper installation leading to missing morph files
Randall, oh, I'm not sure whether I mentioned it or not but the problem shows up on the render. When I'm adding the suit and such it looks fine. It's after I render that it shows up. Regardless, I'll look at the settings and see what I see.

Here are some pics. The settings look mostly the same as your's except for the very top one if I'm on the right settings that is.

Well i will have to test that. Usually when that kind of thing happens, its displacement. check the minimum displacement on the suit and set it to zero for the trouble sections *OR* check the map settings on trouble sections of genesis and knock down the maximum displacement setting. What skin map are you using?
EDIT - I can see clearly that your example has the wrong Master Hip setting. watch the following video and it will show you how to fix.

Supersuit Tips & Tricks Episode 5: Mastering the Hip Region Bug
In this video I highlight the possibly unrecognized but highly irritating "bug" present in all the current Supersuit shaping and Complete (character) presets and show you how to work around.
By setting the displacement to 0, almost all goes away except for a little bit of a line. I guess the seam or something. And then on the front side it all goes away except for a small place.
ok that is indeed the issue. I watched the Video. Sorry it didn't stick with me before. I guess I had to run into it first. "Sumo-Diaper thing". ROFL.
Anyway, with the hip set at the right value, it works fine without any changes to the Displacement. Until it is fixed, I'll make a notation of the values.

The hip setting is wrong... check out the annotations on your image below

Just a reminder that you can always turn the visibility of the underlying Genesis nodes off and it will eliminate any pokethrough. (And speed up the rendering time slightly, since less geometry that will never be hit anyway has to be considered by the rendering engine.) Since the suit is fully covering most of the body, you can safely turn off the visibility of almost all of Genesis. Obviously, if you use surface opacity (or transmaps) to make parts of the suit see-through (like to show the arms, for example), then you don't want to hide the Genesis nodes that would be visible under those areas of the suit.

Option for both?
I'm all in favor of any future expansions, but I'm not sure what you mean here. Do you mean a bundle with a variety of different characters?
Also, as for expansions, could there be an expansion, say, for different helmets and headgear which could be shaped into different configurations? Another cool expansion might be to have a set just for the Four Arms figure to help give that extra set of arms some clothing and protective gear.
If you need a beta-tester, I'd love to be involved! :cheese:
I would love to see more expansions of the supersuit. I really need the options to make bikinis, booty shorts, and thong bodysuits for female characters. I made a product suggestion for more supersuits over at the Product Suggestion forum.
I'd also like to request bodysuits for genesis the uses V4 and M4 bodysuit UVs.

Either...Both...Anything!
I have seen so many great replicas of superheroes made with the V4/M4 characters, but I didn't start using DAZ until November and have stuck with mainly Genesis, so I really hope many of these classic characters make their way to the Supersuit! I keep checking to see if/when DAZ would release expansion packs for the SuperSuit and nothing. I will definitely support your efforts with purchasing and beta testing (MAC user).

Good to have back!
One thing that would be a useful add-on would be a skirt with the kind of morphing capabilities that the supersuit has. Lots of material zones, too.
À skirt add on, like supergirl's, would be nice. Also different types of cloaks is always welcome.
That would be good. But which one? Her skirt has changed quite a bit over the years. (I'm old as dirt, I've seen a LOT of changes in characters' outfits over the years.) That's why I'd like to see a skirt that is as adaptable as the supersuit (let's call it the superskirt). With the right morphs and material zones, one skirt could fit the bill for little microskirts like Kara was wearing a few years ago, longer ones like her original uniform or Mary Marvel, or really long ones like the George Perez era Scarlet Witch. Probably even kilts for the guys.
Speaking of cloaks, one with a similarly wide range of morphs and zones would be equally useful. There's probably a lot of other accessories that I could think of, but I really need to get some sleep. I'm sure I'll have some more ideas when I wake up.

to give help on the Supersuit and he's been making new videos (and improved versions of the ones posted in the beginning of this thread
I hope you'll check the videos out - really helpful stuff! And go say thanks to him and ask any questions about the suit you may have :)
