Why is the crystal dragon getting new poses?

Correct me if I'm wrong but Crrystal Dragon is for Daz Dragon 3 and it seems like the poses should work. It SHOULD wwork. I'm using crystal dragon on Poser right now so maybe it's different but

From what I've seen in previews it seems to me that psoes for crystal dragon are the exact same ones that have been released for Daz Dragon 3. Now shouldn't the poses sitll work the same way? Why make new poses that are the exact same thing just with 'Crystal Dragon' slapped on them?

Most likely because the Base dragon and Crystal dragon are different sizes and shapes, there would be adjusted rigging in crystal dragon that would have different bone positions so the base poses would work, but not without adjustments for the new morph. The new poses would compensate for the adjusted rigging.

I assumed it had to do with the Crystals, that the poses were adjusted to keep the crystals from poking into the creature. I know using horns with one of the Crystal Dragon poses, (here,) I had to change the horns I wanted to use because one skewered his neck.

Yeah, I think the new poses are just to compensate for the new shape and give you the convenience of not having to adjust for it.

It's up to you whether or not the slight hassle of adjusting the poses yourself is worth spending money on the new versions.

I've often wondered the same for about a zillion pose sets on here...the same poses over and over with adjustments for each different figure.

I could go for not seeing yet another slight variation of the "model with both hands over her head" pose.  But, I'm sure we're due for it again as soon as the next DO female figure comes out.

It will be called something like, "Inspired Model Poses for Jennifer 8" or some such...LOL
