Multi-Man for Genesis 3 Male, Is there a Female Companion in the Works?

Just puting the question out there...
Is there a female companion figure for Morpheus in the works?
The answer to this question will influence weather or not he goes into my shopping cart.

It is a really cool looking set, but needs matching female toons to feel like a complete product.

Making toon type characters isn't really hard, as long as you have a base toon figure like The Girl or Star 2. :)

Here's a toon couple I made (the guy I made with Atlas for G3M with some other minor G3M morphs), and the girl I made with The Girl 7 and other G3F morphs.

If you really like Morpheus, and you have a female toon character already, I'd recommend doing a dial spun character to go with him. :) Character creation can be a lot of fun.

It has more to do with the characters in that set are very stylized in a way that can't be replicated with morph dials (and at least two of them are "similar" to characters from certain CG Hollywood movies)...

That being said... I hope there is a set for either G3F or G8F that will have female toons that match those male toons.
Promo Pic 1 = similar to Mr Incredible
Promo Pic 2 = similar to Dr Gru
Promo Pic 3 = similar to Syndrome?
Promo Pic 4 = Aardman Style (Wallace and Grommet)?
Promo Pic 5 = Maybe the mayor from Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs?

Anyone else want to chime in on who the other three are based on?

True, but Morpheus expands the range, and a "morphette" would do the same for femaies. The more possibilities, the better, and sometimes you can't quite match a style. We didn't have a decent Daz-built match for The Girl or The Girl 4 until Guy 7. It was possible to morph other male characters, but they never seemed quite right.

That said, I too would like to know if a female set is in the works. I'd purchase it for the new toon skins alone. A nice add-on to both male and female toons would be 3DL toon skins with different shades (we have lots of iRay, some toon 3DL sets would be an instant purchase for me).

    @divamakeup They look great!

It would be nice to have a Morphette, though we do have quite a few female toon options.

Thank you for the head's up on Atlas! I've got to try him out. I saw that Mythcons also has a bunch of other cool morphs available for free on ShareCG. The more cartoony morphs, the better!

Add me to the list of users looking for a female counterpart for Morpheus. Morpheus allows for really cartoony looks that are similar to what Illumination (the folks behind the Despicable Me films) and Dreamworks (in films like Megamind and the Madagascar movies) have designed. Pushing the female designs to something more cartoony and less pin-uppy (I know; not really a word) would be fun!

I have the Mythcons morphs (Thank You Mythcons) and have and plan to continue to use them to make toons but I am very happy with DAZ Morpheus.

I was thrilled to see it and I wasted no time buying the bundle & most of the other associated products. While, the Girl 7 is nice you are limited to the somewhat less caricatured Girl & Guy style with her. We need a Morpheus Generation 3 Female and Generation 8 Female. This is the really good flexibility I've been waiting for at DAZ in their base models.

And I hope that Morpheus for Genesis 3 Male means Male & Female Morpheus are coming to Genesis 8.

Since no one has mentioned it yet, if you have GenX2 you can also simply transfer the G3M morphs over to G3F and then cross-mix them with the other female morphs.  I've been matching 'mateless' characters like that for years now and it usually only takes a small amount of the donor morphs from the opposite sex to make the characters all appear to come from the same DNA pool... though, granted, with the Morpheous morphs I would imagine the results are going to be closer to the lines of the female Despicable Me characters than something in the Jessica Rabbit mode.

All that said, I can't imagine that there isn't a female version in the works, though it wouldn't surprise me if DAZ dropped her out for Genesis 8 rather than G3F.

Well, there are eight characters in the product insert photos and while the first one definitely has a (young) Mr. Incredible look, # two is obviously Gru.  Of the others:

Pic 3 is a dead ringer for Syndrome, the main villain from the first Incredibles.

Pic 4 is an Aardman animation character (Wallace and Grommet)

No clue on Pic 5, though I get a strange Dreamworks vibe off of him.

Not sure on six and seven, but pic 6 seems to be a non-obese human from Wall-E. I don't see every animated film that comes out so these could be dead on likenesses for something I've just not seen yet.

Finally, my first instinct on Pic 8 was that he felt as though he came from the CG TinTin film. After looking at him a bit, though, I realized that with a cleft jaw and swollen forearms, he's basically a semi-realistic version of Popeye.

Hmmm, can someone point me to where you can morph the body & leave the head alone? I've found the sliders for the head & leave the body alone.

One of those definitely looks like it was inspired by the Heavy from Team Fortress 2, IMHO.

I wouldn't mind seeing a female version, provided we could get some results that look like Pixar women (i.e. Helen Parr/Elasti-Girl), Sam from 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs', or that one lady from Despicable Me 2 played by Kristen Wiig, lmao. Those are very stylized, non-ideal looking toony females, whereas The Girl and The Guy are both very much in a Disney-esque vein in comparison. I'd be down for that.

Slightly off topic too, but if anyone picks up the Toon Super Guy Suit and could show the material zones, I'll be ever grateful.

The suit has no material zones ...it's just suit ....

  • Just remarking that for those that thought Genesis 8 marked the end of Genesis 3... it appears not devil

There is a union suit (Suit) and as separate models gloves (LeftGlove, RightGlove) , boots (LeftMainBoot, LeftSole, RightMainBoot, RightSole), cape (CapeFasteners, MainCape), and underwear (SuperBelt, Underwear) and there are the templates in you Product Listing once you buy: Toon Super Guy Suit for Genesis 3 Male(s)(Templates)

There doesn't seem to be any, so dial  the head down, at least thats what I'm doing.

There were items made for G2F for a while after G3F came out, and obviously since G8M isn't here yet there are going to be opportunities for G3M content for a good while yet.

Thanks nonesuch. I was hoping for something a bit more useable than having the entire suit all one part, like maybe differentiated sleeve lengths, or collars or trim lines, or even seperate pants and shirt. It looks like the boots and cape are done better, and it is nice to have left and right boots and gloves seperate.

    I appreciate the answer.

Others beat me to it; it's not a bad suit, but different zones would be nice. I like Captain Charisma's suit better, for the most part, but turning the gloves off on that one leaves the sleeves fairly short; with this one, the suit's sleeves go all the way to the wrist, which helps. I did a quickie render using MightMite's freebie "S" and dialed in Morpheus low, with Destiny Garden's hair shader (which I use almost daily).

Isn't there a way to add material zones??

  • frank0314frank0314 Posts: 14,708

You can add them in the Geometry editor.

@Walt - it looks great! I like what you did with him.

@Carrie - Novica did an excellent step by step tutorial on how to set up your own material zones. https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/166896/the-material-zone-tutorial-favorite-shaders-materials#latest

Thanks, it was just a quick pict to test how it all works. I did a second one after adding in some G3M bodybuilding and definition, it works fairly well.

Thanks as well for your awesome Toon Style Hair Shaders, I really do use them on characters almost every day I do renders, theyr'e my most-used shader set.

I do not expect a Morphette since the language of the sale makes me expect he'll be vanishing from the store after one week, like certain Christmas items did.

  • carrie58carrie58 Posts: 4,083

I thought it simply meant that the mega discount was only for a week then it goes to normal pricing.....
