Not seeing check marks on boxes on Daz 3d Store pages, Firefox 54.0

I've noticed over the last couple of days that the check mark icon isn't appearing in various boxes on the Daz store pages. I'm using Firefox 54.0, having recently updated.
This included artist, etc. dropdowns, show only pc club, etc. boxes. The boxes still work, but I can't see if a box is checked or not.
They've always appeared before, so this is new.
I have the Daz Deals plugin installed, in case that matters.

DAZ kind of has some hard sexiness regarding Bing lately. Firefox doesn't work anymore and even Internet Explorer cries help because the page tries proper cross site scripting.
I am having no problems with the Daz store, tick boxes and FireFox I don't however use any add ons except adblock
They work for me as well. Try shutting off the plug-in and see if that fixes it. If not try clearing you cache
As I said, I've seen the check marks up until the last couple of days. The only change I've made recently browser wise was updating Firefox to 54.0. Everything else works as before.
I've had the Daz Deals plugin installed for a few weeks now, it still works as before (minus the missing check mark icons, which were there up until the last couple of days).
Daz DID make a design change a couple of days ago. Most noticeably all the buttons are now square, and not rounded as before. That design change may cause issues for you. Try deleting all cache from the browser, and reload the page.
Same problem here: Windows 7 (64 bit), Firefox 54 (32 bit), all Addons disabled and cache cleared. Still no visible check marks. Of course, this is not necessary DAZ fault. Could be a bug in Firefox too.
I've cleared my browser cache from within Firefox, and I've cleared the temporary internet files via Internet Options under control panel. Also restarted just for fun. No joy.
I did notice in looking at my addons (I don't have many) that Daz Deals automatically updated on the 10th, but if I remember correctly the checkboxes were still appearing around that time. This has only been in the last day or two that I noticed the missing check marks (I use them all the time), which makes me think that there be some quirk in the icon name that is causing issues with Firefox 54 on my system. Win 8.1 btw.
Just opened IE, check icons appear there, but for various reasons I'm not an IE fan...
If no one else has this issue, I guess I'll just have to live with it...
I have it. And yes, I use Daz Deals too. But even disabling all Addons including Daz Deals didn't help. Okay, at least the check boxes are working, even without visible clue. Not nice, but yes, maybe we have to deal with it until Mozilla and/or DAZ find the problem.
Same thing just happened to me today. Just got a firefox update and now check marks still function but the boxes remain white so you can't tell the status.
Firefox 54.0
Win 10 Pro
Same problem
Same problem here, Firefox 54.0 and Win7.
I suspect someone in the DAZ web design team did Something Clever™ again — I've checked other websites I visit frequently, and so far I've found none that have the same "invisible tick" problem.
Help ticket opened last night, let's see what comes of it.
Same here, Win 10, Firefox 54.0, no DAZ Deals plugin. Seems odd to have broken a standard HTML entity.
Also seeing this on Firefox 55 Beta.
Well, Firefox is still the 2nd most popular browser, but WOW, a LOT of people have jumped onboard the chrome wagon. Chrome is now over 75% on the most popular browsers scale... at least according to w3schools.com.
https://www.w3schools.com/Browsers/default.asp
And IE/Edge is now becoming almost irrelevant, with less than 5%. That's a LOOOOONG downhill slide from 85% usage in 2002...
That's scary monopoly territory for Chrome!
Note to self: Need to focus more on Chrome when designing websites...
I'm not giving up on Firefox just yet though! Someone needs to support #2!
FYI, I'm not seeing the checkmarks in the checkboxes when I place orders either. It's not just the store pages, the ordering page seems to be affected too.
The checkboxes work fine in 53.0.3, and then I updated out of curiousity to 54, and yeah... no more checkmarks in firefox.
The first several times I enter the Daz site on a given day, something goes funky. First time, it show's yesterdays offerings. Second time it might not recognize my user data. Often early on, if you put somehing in the wishlist, it doesn't go on the wishlist. It's a pain the first several times you load the site. Eventually, it settles in, and it's good until the next day's stuff is put up. I just hit the reload button a lot.
Its the same here on Firefox 54.. (even in safe mode)
This is inexplicable and severely annoying.
I got a reply to my ticket last night, saying Support is aware there is an actual problem...
...and my ticket was closed.
I re-opened it because the problem wasn't solved...
...and it's been closed again.
"I'm not going to keep this ticket open for a web bug as small as this."
Anyone else got this? Extremely not happy.
Same thing, boxes work but I can't actually SEE the check marks!
as my old manager once said "If you don't care about the small bugs, how can I trust you to fix the big ones"...
but if it doesn't happen on FF 53 then don't you think that it's just possible that it is something Mozilla has done?
Its definitely a possibility, but given that any company website is the public facing entity for that company, especially when it's a sales portal, that the web team would want to test to ensure that it works on new browser builds? I'm a big ITIL beleiver, and proper change management is not just about ensuring that just your own code doesn't affect your app/web/whatever..
Just wanted you all to know that the web team is aware of this issue and will be fixing it.
Not sure what happened in Firefox, because we didn't make any changes to the styling on our end, oh well, that's part of the fun that is the world wide web.
Indeed, its hard to keep up with the changes on the browser end, especially given the frequency of Firefox changes. I have seen this sort of thing happen when FF decides not to play nice with CSS... Glad your guys are on it..
Wow that's actually pretty rude. A simple, we are aware and are working on it would have been just fine.
As I said in my help ticket, it's not just Firefox at the root of this. Every single other website I've visited since upgrading to FF54 shows the tickbox state as they always have. Only the entire DAZ website abruptly stopped showing the tickbox state immediately after upgrading to FF54.
Correlation doesn't imply causation, but it does waggle its eyebrows suggestively. The DAZ website code is doing something no-one else is.
Also, I wouldn't call this a "small" problem. What about tickboxes on cart and checkout pages where payments are involved? What about account pages, e.g. PC+ membership? If I can't see what's happening in a potential "$$$-changing-hands" situation, I am going to be very not happy and very not trusting.
I haven't done the upgrade in firefox and my tick marks are gone as well.
Thanks. I'm guessing it's a combination of things, but I figure that FF54 ties into it, hence why I put FF54 in the thread title, so that you guys would reach out to the FF team and see if they had any ideas.
Hopefully y'all can figure out what went wrong, and can fix the checkboxes for us FF users!
It is not all FF users, as I am experiencing no problems, and there is at least one other in the thread who has said the same. This is what makes silly little bugs like this harder to trace, it is not an omnipresent problem.
