STILL No Smart Content after installing Daz 4.9 BETA. Please help.

I have no Smart Content after installing Daz 4.9 BETA.
When I tell it to install Metadata it says it imported 100% in about 1 minute, then just sits there doing nothing. I waited an hour but still nothing and no History shows up in the box either.
I don't used Smart Data much myself, but I need it when I add Metadata to my Free clothing items.
Any help would be appreciated.

Is this affecting the release build too? Which version is your release build?
I'm using Studio 4.8 and yes no Metadata there either.
I have uninstalled and then installed both but I still can't get the Metadata to load.
How are you installing? Manual or DIM?
I used DIM for the Beta.
Can nobody help me?
Are you by chance still using the valentina database? 4.9 no longer supports valentina and uses postgres as a replacement. Check task manager while 4.9 is running and see if there are any 'postgres' tasks - there should be 8 of them.
I had that problem initially as well. I think I solved it by stopping and starting the CMS and then re-importing the meta data.I also got a notice when I first opened DS after the upgrade about postgres but since I haven't used valentina for at least 5 versions knew there was something odd. Which is why I stopped and restarted the CMS,
I am using postgres, and I have tried installing metadata but it just sits there doing nothing.

There really isn't enough information. Does PostgreSQL run (in task Manager, several times) when DS does? Have you been using PostgreSQL for some time? If you go to Edit>Preferences do yu have a tab for CMS settings? if so, what values does if give?
Posture is running, several, when Daz is running. Been using Postgre ever since it first came out.
CMS figure Is 17237.
Are the content directories set correctly - can ou see the files in the Content Library pane, just not in the Smart Content pane? And presumably not under Categories or Products in the Content Library.
Directories are all set correctly, and everything shows in the Content Library.
Nothing in Products, Categories or Smart Content.
Everything works as it should apart from those.
Can you access c:\Users\YOU\AppData\Roaming\Daz 3D\cms\ContentCluster\postgresql.conf without a UAC prompt? Is it even there?
Yes I can access that.
I suppose I need to ask which security software you are running, though it seems unlikely that its behaviour would suddenly change.
I'm using Windows Defender on Windows 10.
You might try disconnecting from the net, turning Wndows Defender off, and seeing if the CMS-based views will then work.
Opened Daz 4.8 this morning and Smart Content now works OK.
Daz 4.9 still doesn't show ant Smart Content though.
Well, 4.9 uses a different set of database tables from 4.8 - that's why the initial launch can take a while, it is copying the 4.8 entries across to the 4.9 form. I would start to suspect that there's corruption in your database, which stopped the conversion process from completing, in which case you may be heading for more trouble in the future. One option (after doing a back-up of the cms folder) would be to export User data, since you obviously have a lot you will want to preserve, then reset the database and reimport the metadata - at least do the first part, export user data, as insurance against any future problems.
