AMD Polaris 4xx and 5xx AMD GPUs in very short supply, Nvidia cards next, silly Etherium miners!

So, for those that don't follow the tech news sites closely, AMD's Polaris cards are in very short supply at the moment.  Apparently, Ehterium and other Cryptocurrency miners love these cards due to the price/performance ratio of the Polaris cards, and at this point even the recent secondhand AMD cards are commanding decent prices on Ebay apparently.  If you have one of the 'in demand' AMD cards sitting unused somewhere ('cuz you swapped it out for a Nvidia card with cuda cores), now might be a good time to put it up on Ebay...

While I"m sure AMD appreciates this shot in the arm, said Etherium, etc. miners are now eyeing the NVidia cards more closely, at least for now, since apparently there's a bubble going on that has made the Nvidia cards more attractive and since the AMD cards are now in short supply.

I'm guessing that the GTX 1080/1080Ti supplies are safe due to the price premium involved, but if you are looking to grab a low end Nvidia card in the coming weeks, don't be surprised if the prices spike.  Radeons aren't in as much demand here, so most people here won't care as much about the AMD cards drying up, but this gives those selling NVidia cards less incentive to offer them at lower prices.

This has happened a few times now in recent years, and these 'cryptocurrencey mining' bubbles burst eventually, but I figured that a few of you here would appreciate the heads up in the meantime. 

These things can be very hard to second guess, so AMD ramping up Polaris production is a dicey proposition, as the bubble may collapse before any ramped up production cards could be built and brought to market, leaving a lot of unused inventory in it's wake.
