It also includes the Skydome and Sun from the Iray Worlds Skydome Pak, plus 2  extremely hi resolution Sky textures...

Is this a good time to ask what the "Iray Skydome and Sun" are all about? I have Dreamlight's canyon extension which contains a sort of sun and sky prop and a whole long list of ambient and bounce lights. I think they look great in 3DL but of course when I tried them in Iray it doesn't work. sad

I only have one current render (posted in the Art Studio forum) that looks anything like the Secret Valley... it is just a throwaway study that I started for the purpose of messing around with some greenery and parkland, sort of, and then I began to like it. Trees were kitbashed from the lovely Chateau Blanche model in the DAZ store and I lit them up a bit with IG Studio Lights... very hard to control, or so it seems... I don't have any flower props at all (heh) so for me the valley sounds like a real asset. Way to go! Very nice indeed.  I also like forcing tints, and other hue changes. smiley

The Iray Sun is exactly the same as the one in Iray Worlds...its included in Secret Valley, but without all the position, color, and instensity presets>
The Secret valley does tho contain the extra Skylight, that casts secondary hues, you cqan get some amazing results playing around with it, also invisible Spheres as well.

So there are actually 4 light sources...all controled independantly...The Sun, The Sky, the Skylight, and some invisible spheres as well.
The big difference in the iray Worlds is there a lot more skies and lots of presets.
The Secret Valley will run seamlessly more or less inside iray Worlds as well.

    Hope this helps

    Cheers

    Hi Ice Dragon Art

Thanks heaps for buying the back catalogue stuff, I am really sorry I havent answered yet, I had been away for a day or so.
You can post those questions here I guess,(if not I will check the messages tomorrow)
I generally dont check my messages that much, I tend to go to the forums more.

    Hi Ice Dragon.
To explain about the various paks at Daz.
First off the Iray Skydome and the Superpak are the newest, and they are designed to work with Iray mainly, and all the newer stuff like Oceanlands, Secret Valley are standalone products that also can be used inside the Iray Skydome as well for extra versatility.
The previous world products, meaning Worldbase-XT and the add on paks are mainly for use with the other 3delight renderer in Daz Studio, however from memory, they are the same dimensions, so with a bit of fiddling any one can work with the other, but you need to have a clear idea what's what.
Yes the tree pack you mentioned is designed to fit into Worldbase-XT.

WorldBase Xteme is another one, but its a much earlier product and can also be used, mainly for the older renderer 3delight.
However that Tree and Skies pack, the trees can really be used with anything, they do not have to go into Worldbase-XT, you can put them in any scene or even in Iray Worlds, they are sized to sit on Daz Studios ground level and sized to fit in Daz studio in proportion to everything else.

The Skies in that pack are designed to be used only with Worldbase-XT.
    Hope this helps
    Cheers

Ok...unfortunately the only sunlight that I'm (sort of) familiar with is the 3DL one that comes with Dreamlight's canyon extension. Does it say anywhere in "Secret Valley" that a person might want to buy the extra Iray stuff? I gave Secret Valley a try -- see my thread in the Art Studio forum -- and the lighting sort of worked for me but I had to manually begin to remove at least on of your "invisible" disks; no idea how I got it to become visible! Click click click click!!! laugh  As things stands I would pay to have unfettered access to the greenery props, if (say) I wanted a frontal layer of extra greenery in my scene. Could there be a "Secret Worlds Add-on Kit" for people like me I wonder? smiley

In a related thread in the Art Studio for instance I am doing some kitbashiing with trees and Iray ground shaders to make a similar (sort of) scene.
