Hair strands flying off

I've had this problem off and on since I began working witht this program about a year ago. The image looks fine when I save it, but when I open it up again there is a trail of hairs flying off the figure's head. I have parented the skull cap to the head and the hair to the cap. I have tried parenting the hair directly to the head. All the hair is from one hair group and it all appears to be the added hair, not the guide hairs.

Does anyone know what's going on here?

    This has been a problem since day one of the hair room (or darn close) usually when you move a camera the strands move back into place.
