Mesh Cleanup

There was a tool that automated cleaning up of meshes, grouping surfaces that were scattered, etc... I can't remember where I saw it or what it was called unfortunately. Anyone familiar with a tool like this?

    You're not talking about MeshLab by any chance?

    No, that's interesting but the tool I was thinking of took the text file input and basically sorted it by surface and a few other things I'm not remembering atm, giving a text output (obj.)

    Are you thinking of the Stomper utility, which tidied up material groups?

    Doesn't sound right but it might basically do what I was looking for. Couldn't find it w Google though.
