Some DO items end up being 80% off, while others are just 71% off.

This will become 80% off in the end.

    http://www.daz3d.com/sora-hair
This will only become 71% off.

    What's the difference? surprise

Summer Girl was one in the  daily free item category last week, which was how I acquired it.

I discovered that not all PC items are DAZ Originals, as some are RDNA items that came over, so they only get the Loyalty Discount, not the 50%....

  • Someone at Daz didn't like the gift cards going away at 34%. The exact same cart now shows GCs at 21%.

What's so unique about that chantelle outfit (except for the encryption) that its still giving additional 3.5% on the GC? It was launched as far back as Feb this year.

Prices shot up. Even more stuff to take out of the cart. This is becoming hard to follow. :D

Most of his brushes also work in Gimp, if that's any consolation. I have CS5 as well. Many of the brushes work great in it (not sure about Fireflies). I finally took the plunge and got the monthly Adobe subscription. It's only $10 a month and included the latest versions of Photoshop and Lightroom. Love it!

Nope. Just downloaded and installed the latest version of Gimp; Fireflies brushes give an error message saying this version can't be opened....so not an option to open CS6 - CC Abr files.  I haven't done it yet but I'll run a trial of CC. It'll be a better option anyway as I can do a png for each and copy down any brush dynamics that are set assuming I don't just end up buying the subscription. I was putting off doing the CC trial as it's easier (cheaper) to not know what I'm missing out on.

@Pixel8ted - Aww, sorry. Could be that the latest ones don't. I just tested out his Digital Energy brushes in GIMP for Kyoto Kid on the "Show us your 3Delight Renders" thread and those do work.

@barbult - hee hee, you know me! (Though I think you're more accomplished in DAZ ticket creation skills!)

I don't know why the banner about the 2016 and 2015 Top Sellers is still up, that page specifically says "Today Only" and was for yesterday. That'll confuse people.

I also noticed that some of the same stuff that was in those sales are now much more- some are nearly double the price, even though they are in the new sale today. The Pro packages and many of the bundles (Adventuring Party, Kendra Bundle, etc) are at least $5 more than they were yesterday, some much more than that.

I'm not complaining. I've bought enough. I do see some things I haven't seen on sale for a while. With over 100 pages of DAZ originals to go through, I'm very thankful for Ati and Overdrawn's browser add on and wishlistify function!

Genesis 3 Starter bundle for under $8 total purchase. See Attached; 'nough said.

That V4 for G2F product is really cool! It lets you wear V4 textures on G2F characters as well as lets G2F wear V4 clothes, hair, etc. :)

I still haven't quite figured it out, but I knew I wanted it. :)

The V4 Skin/Textures has to be saved as a file type that is compatible with Genesis. Sadly many V4 skins aren't, so you have to manually load those to G2F. But once you load it manually you can save it as a "material preset" so you won't have to load it manually ever again.

The first time doing it can be a pain though, but with some of the really great V4 skins, it's worth it for those, imo. What I do is:

    1) Load G2F and V4 onto a scene.

    2) First check to see if the skin you want loads onto G2F (some of them will, but most won't). If it won't, load the skin/texture that you want onto V4 instead.

    3) Once it's on V4, you can copy the surfaces in the surfaces tab from V4 to G2F. Like under V4's surfaces tab, go to "SkinFace" and right click "Copy Selected Surfaces". You can then click on G2F and go to her surfaces tab and select "Face" and right click "Paste to Selected Surface". You can do that for all of the surfaces that you need to transfer.

It's kind of a pain so I only recommend it for your favorite V4 skins. Once the skin/texture is on G2F you can then save it as a Material Preset and that way you never have to load it that way again. :)

If you just want the product for wearing V4 clothing on G2F, then that is a LOT easier. lol When you go to load V4 clothes onto G2F and it asks you "What figure was the item originally designed for" just chose Victoria 4 and chose what type of item it is and it usually loads just fine. :) The only exception is shoes, as it sometimes has trouble fitting V4 shoes onto G2F. But that can be said for transferring shoes from any figure - shoes are just a pain in the bottom. lol

    I hope that helps! :)

Or you can apply V4 textures to Genesis 1 and save it as a preset, then apply to Genesis 2. There is also a batch converter for sale.

Have you tried Cayman's UV products? They make moving skins over super simple, just a few clicks. I have most of his products and they are very good.

@Pixel8ted, While I don't agree with CC's concept, having had perpetual licenses on Photoshop from its first incarnation on the Mac (back in the late 80s, I think)  through version 7 AND having Adobe mess up my account so I couldn't upgrade anymore (go figure how they can lose someone's license)... well, I have CC and it's so worth it to have the tools that I'm used to using and that work well with all my Topaz filters and all my Ron's brushes, shapes, etc.  I may have to cut back to just Photoshop CC one of these days, though...

Looks like not all DAZ Originals gets the extra Loyalty Reward discount. This one for example doesn't:

@Taozen I noticed that yesterday and started a ticket. I was told to screenshot my cart and let them know my order # so they could refund the difference on whatever wasn't working. The ones I found that weren't working were:

    • Moto Racer Outfit for G3M
    • Dark Whisper for G3M
    • Casual Styles for G3M

Today might be a good day for PC+ items, haven't hit them yet, but will check. I was excited to see the new Elianeck lights for a really great price. It's the lowest I've seen them for:

Sorry, I haven't tried buying a gift card but will check it out. Looks like DAZ Originals in the PC+ category are where it's at today for deals. And Dark Whisper as well as Casual Styles are getting at least the 50% off today. They still don't appear to have the Holiday Rewards off as well, but I'm not complaining. $2.49 for those outfits is a great deal. Many other items are around $1 or less. Time to use that wishlistify on the DAZ Originals page and grab the goodies! LOL

Note: Some PC+ items, such as Myrddin, are not Daz Originals. So the deal is still good, just not quite as good.

Just spent over an hour screenshot-ing 16 pages of items (8 before and after screenshots.) I deleted the gift card when that shot up but purchased the rest and hope they give me the original prices or I'm cancelling the whole thing. It takes a lot of time to go through what you want to get, mixing things up to get the best deals, and just as you're ready to check out, bam, the prices go up! No other store EVER does that unless it states it's a limited time sale that ends at a specific time. This was about 3:00AM Pacific time, and there's no excuse... This happens over and over again... Imagine if this happened at Best Buy or Amazon. The Better Business Bureau would be after them. This HAS to get fixed or I'm done shopping here. Too time consuming to report ALL the errors, even if they do usually make it right in the end. It's 7:00 AM and I've been working on screenshots and reporting to Daz for hours. Now have to get some sleep so I can stay awake for NYE!!!

@wonderland   I don't blame you. For instance, Narkissa doesn't discount with the Holiday discount. I'm going into the vendor stores to see the deals, that DO section is already hit and miss. First one I test doesn't work, what a surprise. Not. Several others are fine though.

Molto Bello doesn't discount either with the Holiday.

If you go back into the older PC+ items, there are a lot of GREAT deals. Most for around .70. Lots of Parkside, Divinity Skies, Hammam, and many textures for outfits you might already have, really nice ones. Occasionally they're cheaper, but these are certainly worth a look.

Holy cow, there's a huge discount on Platinum Plus memberships today. Thanks @WandW for the tip off on that! They seem to be 50% off plus whatever your Holiday Rewards Banner discount is. I snagged a yearly renewal for under $25.

Note: If you pay via Paypal, don't forget to check what annual renewal payments are set up on the PayPal side. It sets up a new one each time you buy a membership. That can burn you later. It can also be a boon- it renews at whatever price you paid when it was on sale.

  • If there were just a discount on gift cards today (or indeed, if you could put a giftcard in your cart at all), I would order a gift card and then buy some of this stuff.

I've got the money and I want to give it to DAZ - I just need to turn it into a giftcard... it is complicated. :D

    Just a quick heads up...

The following artists are part of the Christmas Day 60% sale and will not get your Holiday Loyalty Rewards (HLR) discount, regardless of what the banner at the top of the page says and in spite of the artist being listed on the "It's a Daz new year!" sales page.

Bucketload3d, Emmaandjordi, Fred Winkler Art, Sabby, Bobbie25, Devon, Bluebird 3d, Ravenhair, Imaginary House, Zeddicuss, Donna Che Cammina.

The same is true of Daz Originals from these artists, in spite of being listed on the Daz Originals page linked to from the "It's a Daz new year!" sales page.

ETA: I added a DO from one of those artists to see if the price shuffle in the early morning corrected this. Instead of getting the 71% the products were getting from the Christmas Day sale, it is now showing 65% off. That's 50% stacking with the member discount. No HLR discount.

The non-DO item I placed in my cart from the same vendor had only the 50% discount. Again, no HLR discount.

So we are now losing the 60% discount from the Christmas Sale page, but not getting the 30% HLR discount.

My guess is the early morning Daz-price-shuffle was supposed to make these work for today's sale, but the code is still in place to prevent the HLR discount being applied.

  • @Llynara So, how does that work? If you go to PayPal and cancel your reoccuring payment, it doesn't cancel your current account, then when you buy another one, it adds another year and re-enables the reoccuring charge?

There was a problem with the gift cards. I got credited twice when I bought one a couple of days ago (both emails worked, whereas normally only one does). I reported it and I suspect that Daz is now attempting to correct any problem.

Thanks for the heads up! But how can you uncheck the renewal payments on the paypal side? I checked my account and there seemed to be none even after the purchase. The only thing I can uncheck is one the Daz side, which is under platinum club.

You just go into your user panel in Paypal and you can cancel any recurring payment agreements you don't want. I'd keep the lowest recurring one though, LOL. I'll get in and grab a screenshot in a few minutes. Internet is wonky here today.

@Llynara So, how does that work? If you go to PayPal and cancel your reoccuring payment, it doesn't cancel your current account, then when you buy another one, it adds another year and re-enables the reoccuring charge?

    Here goes:

    1. Log into Paypal, go to your Settings. Under Payments, choose "Manage Pre-approved Payments."

    2. Here you can see all the recurring payments you have set up. I just renewed my PC+, so I have a new one in there that I don't want.

    3. I go into details, then click cancel.

    4. Confirm by hitting Cancel Profile.

    5. Now it shows it's cancelled, and I only have one active renewal going on. (You can see my recurring Adobe Photoshop subscription in here, it's worth its weight in gold!)

    6. A quick check back on the list, you can see that the new recurring payment has been cancelled.

It was for my first recurring payment, but when I look at the new one I did today, it's wanting to renew at $70. The old one is at $56, which is what I paid in the PC+ sale. Not sure why it's different.

That seems too good to be true. I mean it's only $25 for infinite time? And you cancelled the Dec 31st one...so didn't you just cancel the cheaper version? Also, what does your subscription history look like in your Daz account? I can't imagine it's going to be smart enough to append an extra year to your existing subscription.

If it's true and we can get an extra year for just $25 for the rest of the day, I'll definitely buy it. Just don't want to abuse a bug or lose the remainder of the time on my current subscription (if they decide to 'overlap').

I hope it's true. I managed to score my yearly membership for $12.60 a while back. If it's true then I'm NEVER going to cancel that sucker. lol

Neither would I! Check your recurring payment settings just to be sure!

Wow, that's a beautiful screenshot. Love those low prices! LOL

I'd be satisfied with just an extra year for $25. Can someone confirm that if you have 10 months left on your existing subscription, if you buy a second yearly subscription, you'll have 22 total months? Or will it be just 12 months with the new subscription taking over? If they add together, it's worthwhile.
