There is a human surface shader in DS 4.5. it's either under shaders or shader presets. Then its under omnifreaker. It is called human surface. Should come with DS 4 and 4.5
For the most part human surface is the Elite Human surface shader that was released for older versions of daz. it will allow you to use old HSS presets as well as valeries.
Instead of just clicking, I think you have to ctrl-click, on the human surface shader, then choose the ignore option in the drop down list. That's about all I know.

That is correct. Use control click and ignore.
