I don't think that I've been TOO naughty - I just spend too much here. Now I'll just be haunting the other sites that are actually celebrating the spirit of the holiday instead of just the commercialism, and lurk here (maybe) till I have a bit of money to spend.

I've some kinda cynical thoughts on the matter, which I will keep to myself beyond saying I have them.

But I also remember at least one year since I started shopping at DAZ where they did only 12 days of Christmas. Can't remember the specifics, but I'm pretty sure there was at least one, if not two such years.

I thought it was last year they did the 12 days of Christmas. I've been waiting for some sort of news about this also. I was trying to catch up on my other downloads from Oct & Nov before this starts so I don't get too swamped again. I'm just starting to catch up o.0

I thought it had a later start last year also....

Misty...may as well nuke the links to the past stuff...they're dead and not coming back, like a bad horror movie villain.

An technically last year was '24 days'...but it was a late start ( a couple of days...)

The big question is...after all the flat out whining and bitching last year, who really would blame anyone for NOT doing it again?

It really doesn't feel like Christmas at Daz this year. I remember when I first joined Daz it was November so I had missed the October sales and then December came and the generosity of the vendors and artists was almost overwhelming. Even at 40 something I felt like a kid as I checked each day for the new trinkets and baubles and wonderful artistry

I know the vendors and other artists do not have to give away things and when they do it's out of the goodness of their heart and the love of what they do. But I must say that each day I come to Daz and faithfully check the thread to see if we might have some wonderful gift waiting only to be disappointed and a little saddened. I love making art and I love using everything I get.

Currently I donate a most of the art I do for various things to raise money for the things I believe in. Last year, my art raised about $300 at the annual Yule auction which helped not only support my organization (which survives on donations to pay our rent and supplies) but in extension the local foodbank, women's shelter, street youth because 10% of what we raise goes straight to other charities. Even though I purchase most of what I use...having wonderful freebies also helps

Love and light to all this wonderful season

    Kim

Misty, Thank you for those links - the table looks really nice.

I also feel as tho DAZ is lacking in the Christmas/Yule spirit.

You bank balance is safe with the 24 Days of Christmas. The vendors gift stuff to the members. Read the old threads & you will see.

    Ghosts of Christmas past

You will need to add archive after forum on each link, and even then the links in the threads won't work. Sorry.

I'm still using the same name...it's just been either health issues or the forums not letting me post. ;)

And a big thanks to April for kicking off this year's PA giveaway! :)

As for the old files from previous PA giveaways...I'll look through my drives and on my site to see what I still have and will set something up so they're available again. And as long as I have the ok from the creators & I have my site they will be available. But I will say that it will likely be sometime in January when it's ready.

That's pretty cool. I like all the little details you put in it. Almost expect Cinderella to try and peek through the window but getting foiled by those pesky mice.
