I remember when some of us stated how the depiction of Monique 6 wasn't what we wanted to see and certain PAs said "what else can we do" blah blah.
Well someone figured it out this time around. Modern stuff, looks solid. Thumbs up.
Couldn't agree more! I went and looked at the 2 addon characaters to see how great they were and was dissapointed since the base comes across much more realistic looking than the addon ones. Then again, I am not a fan of toony anything or 3D Universe characters.
I am tempted as she looks really well done and the base textures look great.
Tisha and Senna look good and probably get a lot of renders out in the wild. Certain characters always get the "too toony" comments but you actually see people rendering them since more idealized characters are popular in art. That overly realistic stuff doesn't work for everyone.
Depends on the goal of the render. Lots of "toony" light skinned characters in the top sales each week. Wouldn 't really call them toony though. They will fit into a lot of peoples renders nicely.
She's nice and I actually like most of the items in her bundles. Unfortunately, DAZ has done it's best to bleed me dry over the last few months, and while these are all beautifully done, there's nothing I absolutely have to have this second. Fortunately, she's almost certain to be at 70% off again in two months or so, so...
Monique 7 is beautiful. I just love having an ethnic variety of people. I didn't care for the voodooo stuff Monique 6 had. I didn't notice stretch marks, but then my old eyes probably miss many details. I personally dislike makeup on women. None of us were born with blue eyelids, etc. I don't care for any of the outfits in her Pro package. Who wears gogo outfits these days?!
I'm thinking I should start. Might start a trend. Or not! Ha!
If they don't look right, they can always be tweaked. I just "fixed" the eye depth issue I see in TWeen Julie and she looks much better in my opinion. Need to do a full render and post it here on the forum for comments

Well, I know I said she looks really realistic but here she is as a pixie. I don't tend to do them and I haven't done one in awhile (unless it was already a character in my content libraries), but her dimples got to me....lol.
It's her skin with Anagenesis 2, but the eyes are from the new Macro Eyes. The morph is from Xameva.

Here is a quick render I did of her in 3Delight. I fiddled with some morphs and that's it. I did use Advanced Ambient lights.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Daz! I feel after the horror show of Monique 6, you really listened and are giving us wonderful, diverse charactes without stereotypes. I have to pause my spending for a while, but, wow! this is the most tempting pro bundle yet.

+ 1. When I rendered Monique 7 for the first time, just out of the box, 3Delight, no extra lights, I thought I had the photo of a real person on my screen. Wow! Never saw anything like Monique 7; she's fantastic.

Monique is amazing , love the coloring on her knees, elbows and face especially.
I don't know if anyone else has this problem. I love people of various "colors" and ethnic backgrounds. Much of my projected projects include people acting silly, angry, whatever. I'm actually afraid to use a "person of color" in a silly role (etc) for fear of offending someone. But then I also have many other hangups that all too often keep me from making art.
Trying to be PC all the time....well, ya may as well just crawl under a rock and not do or say anything. Someone is always offended about something. Live a little ;).

Agreed!! I am tempted to purchase the old Voodoo bundle just to use Monique 7 since I don't have any issues with being non PC, LOL
Yeah they could have included at least one african/"stereotypical" themed outfit with Monique.
Nobody complains about stereotypes when blue eyed blondes are wearing traditional Oktoberfest dresses so what's wrong with traditional tribal stuff? : )
Still I think the bundle is well balanced and you can auto-fit older outfit to genesis 3 pretty well most of the time so it doesn't really matter : )
The problem is more--what if blue-eyed blondes ONLY appeared wearing Oktoberfest dresses? I'm hoping now that there's a Feature black woman for Genesis3 we'll see a lot more dark skin in promos.
