Really great product, a BIG improvement on the voodoo nonsense that came with Monique 6.

The Land Walker outfit looks fantastic and the boots make more sense than the stiletto heels type.

    I totally agree.

The bundle is great! WELL DONE, PAs!

I could use some shorter black hairstyles. Monique's eyebrows are really too thin and plucked.

Personally I think she looks better than her Monique 6 predessesor, and I appreciate not having such a stereotypically themed package of outfits and accessories.  All and all, I give her a thumbs up.

Ah, the 5th picture from last for the Monique 7 base product is a bit mean.....someone must have broken all four fingers of the left hand to make this shot.....auwch!

Very impressed. Not sure if I personally have a use for this specific character's look, but the attention to detail in her sculpt and general skin texturing looks magnificent.

Won't judge the bundles, because they have zero impact on the base figure's aesthetic/technical worth. Bundles are a separate marketing department decision and should always be viewed as such. Few people can ever usually afford them, in any case.

Must say that I really like this new pattern of showing how each figure looks like when used in interesting combinations with others. They need a lot more variety of those, if anything!

As for the tribal clothing which appeared for G2, I've said before that such costumes most definitely have their uses. I'd like to see more of the same appearing for G3, too (though would especially like some native North American and South American stuff). We've got plenty of fantasy-based tribal aesthetics for fairies and such. I'd like to see more for realistic, historical-themed renders. I certainly made great use of some of the voodoo/tribal costumes which came out for Monique and Darius of the G2 era (even though I did not purchase them with her). Not to mention, those which arrived alongside Reptilian, too!

It looks great, and I appreciate moving away from the stereotypes, and more black hairstyles are always appreciated.

I don't buy Genesis 3, but I might pick up the hair and a few other things down the road.

  • Looks fantastic and in my wishlist...  After Cayenne my CC is safely put away for awhile

  • Gorgeous character. Instant buy!

Wow, I think the figure itself looks fantastic. I really love it. Can't buy her right away, but will eventually :) Not sure I need any of the pro or starter pack stuff tho.

She looks great! Although I do wish her eyebrows weren't so thin.

  • Count me in as someone who appreciates that Daz avoided the tribal/voodoo stuff this time around. Well meaning or not, that sort of stereotyping reflects poorly on the hobby as a whole, especially in this day and age. I'm glad they listened to the concerns from when Monique 6's bundles were released. Makes me excited to see what they have in store for Darius.

Although I do think the Gogo outfit isn't indicative of Blaxploitation... if anything, its quasi-Mod, and tbh we could use more 60's/70's mod clothing. That's just me.

By the way, the Saucy hair......(what's wrong with Curly btw) looks a bit tapelike......the back hair looks like the stuff coming out of broken C90 metal cassette and the red hair like it came out of a C90 ferro tape......maybe some adjustments in the opacity maps are in order? The blonds look okay though!

    Greets, Ed.

Problem look at it worst in the Senna renders....in the renders for the hair itself it looks better......fiddely twiddely......

I don't think it is supposed to be curly. It looks more to me like when I do a "twist out". It's when I do a 2 strand twist on my wet hair and untwist it and shake it out and style.  Looks pretty authentic to me, I'll see how it renders for me. The margot hair looks like my afro puffs really cute but the hairline look weird. Nice package overall

I find some of the Monique 7 Pro Bundle, usable and realistic in a historical context as you'd expect for disco themes but most of the clothing I find untypical and undesireable. However since bundles usual eventually go on sale cheaper than the components eventually I'll windup with the entire bundle.

  • Hey does anyone know what makes the skin lighter in the 7th and 8th picture in the main promo?  Could it be just the lighting used?

  • Could someone who has her provide a straight-on no make up render, please? I think she's quite lovely and her skin is gorgeous, I'd just like to see her without the heavy makeup.

I rather like that the bundle outfits now seem to include the extra texture sets, rather than making us buy them separately. She does look a bit older than most of the Generation 6 characters. Which is not a bad thing. Not every woman I need to build a character for is in her teens. As for Darius, DAZ usually announces a discount trigger for a forthcoming character when there is one. I don't see one here. But the holiday discount will apply for him too, and may work out to something similar.

Her clothes aren't my sort of thing, but I think she looks really nice.

The pictures with the blue background on the main storefront banner look to me to be without any makeup. The picture with the christmas tree has makeup.

This one from her page seems makeup-less to me

It looks make-up less except for the eyelashes : )

Bah! Mascara doesn't count as makeup ;)

  • I think right out of the box she's gorgeous! Good job Daz! :)

Okay, I'm going to be straight-up honest here. I'm not a fan of her base face. She looks exhausted and a bit too stylized in some renders, like the one j cade has here. Though, Senna and Tisha are down-right GORGEOUS, I have to say! Raziel-Silver and FWSA impress me once again! :D

I had to get Monique 7 and doing a render right now.

It's all subjective I guess. I think the base looks rather realistic and the two character morphs look stylized...lol. Ah well ;).

  • Ok, ive rendered with her a little bit. The only critique that I have for daz off the top of my mind is that I think her arms are too skinny. That is easily fixed. I think she is one of daz's best figures overall.

I agree with Laurie, Senna and Tisha are pretty, but also look very toonish to me. Their skin is just way too smooth and perfect. Monique's skin is pretty fantastic. You can nitpick over some spots (major bags under her eyes in some pics, poor girl needs a nap!) and some of the makeups absolutely horrify me, but its a nice realistic skin. I'm not seeing anything in the bundles I'd go for, so if I buy, it will just be the figure.

The question remains as to how much needs to be done to achieve renders that come close to the promo pics.

But I'm talking like toony stylized. when I first saw the renders like the one here, I honestly thought for a second that I was looking at the latest 3D Universe character.
