How to change order that items appear over each other ?
in New Users
Hi all,
Is there some easy way to change the order items render over each other - for example if i have a figure wearing a shirt and then put a belt on him, the belt needs to show over the top of the shirt, not under it.
In my image software its simple to just select and say 'bring forwards' so wondering if there is similar in daz ?
Thanks

It *may* work by adding either a Push modifier to the belt, and/or collision detection with the shirt.
watch this Daz3D Video on Collision, its great https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCzJuk5o0hE
all the Daz3D tutorial videos are great and very helpful.
'bring forward' will place one image layer in front of another in a 2D application, but remember that DAZ Studio and the content that you are using is 3D, not 2D. If a shirt (or anything else) is obscuring a belt on a figure, then that is because the shirt's diameter about the figure is greater than the belt's diameter. Simply decreasing the values/scale of X and Z will reduce the diameter or dimensions of an object along those axes and vice versa. Used in conjunction with collision detection, this should yield the best results. Of course, if there are folds in the shirt, collision detection by itself could yield some strange results, since most belts are not supposed to be particularly flexible.
Also, some items, especially if they are a 'set' will have built in morphs to tuck in or layer various parts. Sometimes those morphs will work if the items are used with other clothing that is not part of the set, sometimes they won't.
