A stone one in this set: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/primitive-weapons/29122
A metal one (includes obj format): http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/tomahawk-axe-native-3d-3ds/461788
...thanks. Yeah took quite a bit to get the Diner and Aslan Court sets to fit together just right. The lamp shade was a real pain as it involved a lot of tricky use of the Geometry (then Polygon) Editor not only to get rid of the parts I didn't need but also to make the glowing ring and centre portion. Fortunately I only had to do one thanks to the Instancing tool.
That was also Rendered in 3DL using AaA's advanced lights.
Thanks PDS!!
mjc1016 Asked for Pics of iroquois style battle axe. Which by the way I find out if refered to as a riflestock club. I never understood how this thing could be used until I saw this:
I was hoping to, if not get some actual measurements of one, at least pics. But I did not have time to do it this past weekend...
The 'ball' club and tomahawk were other possibilities. My relative has at least one of each.
But here's a WIP of a 'from memory' version...it needs the blade and something other than walnut, if I recall, it was curly maple, in an aged amber color. There was also a turtle 'burned' into the flat area surrounded by the studs (that brass in the pic a bit too shiny).
There's also a buckskin wrap and some 'dangles' needed. It had a sheath, not a sling. No, I'm not going to do the sheath, as it has a fair amount of beadwork that I don't want to do.
Did you look at the Iroquois War Axe in this set I linked to earlier: https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/primitive-weapons/29122 (enlarge the first of the lower small promo images)
Here's another render...in maple and with wraps. Still no dangles...
