    I agree on the mix of periods and styles, and on the desirability of some kind of swapping or modularity - maybe with a provision to add more detailed modules, with interiors, as later products?

    I'd love something along the lines of the older parts of London or Boston, where streets that intersect at right angles are an accident and not a plan.

    Shops on the ground floor, apartments/cheap hotels/professional offices on the upper floors, with some upper levels accessible from relatively small open-front stairways.

    Signage for the streets appropriate for all countries, regardless of the side of the street they drive on.

    One or more stairways down from street level that could be access to an under-the-road crossing or an underground rail platform - scalable from about 3 feet wide to around 8 feet wide (I'm thinking along the lines of access to the Chicago and Philadelphia underground rail).

    I'd love some more Art Deco skyscrapers.

    Some more Neo-Gothic Gotham-esque structures... per Joe's earlier suggestion.

    The New York central park type layout suggested earlier would be good.

    A working manhole cover or two?

    Ideally any graffiti in the textures should be an optional layer, I think? Graffiti can restrict the historical period being depicted in a render, to maybe 70s / 80s at the very earliest... where the architecture could otherwise pass for a decade or two, or more, earlier, often?

    Cheers

    Just being using some of the buildings from 2 and yes I can do this myself in Photoshop but I sure would like night time mat Presets for some windows to glow. Like you did with UF3 & 4 and Greeble Blocks 1 and 2.

    I've got some ideas too

    * Some Gaudí styled buildings http://www.google.se/search?q=gaudi&hl=sv&tbo=u&tbm=isch&source=univ&sa=X&ei=xsy7UMi1OKOB4gTk0oDIBw&sqi=2&ved=0CD8QsAQ&biw=1476&bih=911 I've been looking for a La Sagrada Familia forever!

    * Balconies balconies balconies! A Romeo/Julia one for instance

    * A chanal with a bridge, á la for instance Venice

    * I've always liked your Asian signs, but it would be fun to have some 'changeable' signs, with options for Hebrew/Arabian/Greek

    * A roundabout traffic intersection

    * A modern building with glass elevators running on the outside - poseable elevators if possible

    * Art noveau styled entrances

    * A square / piazza

    * A newspaper kiosk or a food kiosk

    * Arch triumph (sp??) http://www.a-taste-of-france.com/images/arc-de-triomphe.jpg

    * A theatre or a movie theatre entrance

    * Clutter, junk, old leaves, discarded bottles, cans, newspapers etc which always seem to be lying around

    +1 on the Gotham suggestion.

    Urban Sprawl 2 was very metropolitan so maybe something more old world, like Prague, Madrid or London styled.

    THAT !

    I'm still puzzled that neither Stonemason nor Jack Tomalin ever released any Victorian England street environment. Stefan's Victorian street is quite old now and it's not like Jack would have a hard time finding references :)

    I would like to see more taller buildings. Something like the Chrysler building would be awesome!

    ...agreed, doesn't have to be an exact reproduction of a real one, just one that has the "iconic" look.

    Some very good suggestions here. Especially like the ideas of a park, a major landmark, construction site, and a seedy or "red light" district.

    Would also love to see a city sprawl done in a more European style with a central market square like pictured below:

    A few other common structures and sights to consider:

    ...municipal buildings like a public library, city hall, court house, and museum
    ...an intercity bus terminal
    ...a fire and a police station.
    ...a church and/or cathedral
    ...a couple cinemas
    ...a central roundabout or square that includes a statue or fountain and benches. Possibly make the fountain and statue interchangeable with each other,.
    ...a classic looking central train station
    ...tram tracks and overhead catenary.
    ...a sports/civic arena.
    ...those "street chimneys" like you see in pictures of New York City.
    ...suspended window washer scaffold that can be used on various buildings.

    BTW, what ever happened to the Suburban Sprawl project?

    I would like to see a highway on-ramp (or off-ramp), it could even be the edge of the town.

    A college campus.

    An above ground rail-line like in the Batman movies.

    A crazy casino.

    A central park area would be a real selling point for me... Of course, I'd prefer Chiba Park in Tokyo. ;) Or Akibahara. I've got tons of reference photos I could share if you want them.

    A train station or subway station would be a great inclusion. My favorite is Harajuku, but any train station would be great!

    Definitely store fronts, hopefully with a few usable interiors (we can furnish them ourselves).

    But I would also really love to see a Victorian London neighborhood! Maybe a future project?

    Id like to see a city that integrates with Urban Sprawl 2 and if at all possible:

    • more skycrapers for the skyline,

    • texture options for buildings
    `
    • traffic

    `• city at night texture options

    • a park with trees, etc.

    • highways over-passes

    • Suburbia

    • An American city with street signs on the right side of the road! :cheese:
    I never noticed it until someone pointed it out and it never stopped me from using the set.

    Public Works Items like:

    Electrical Substation

    Electrical Plant

    Water Tower

    Water Treatment Plant

    Utility Risers, Utility Boxes, Utility Vaults and Utility Markers

    Industrial Area.

    You may already had these items incorporated in the previous version in which I have, but not had the opportunity to use yet.

    With all of the things mentioned by people it may take you just as much time to create as it would to actually build a real city.

    Good luck.

    San Francisco style flats. a block of them. Like the ones you find around Golden Gate Park and in the Haight... in fact, the a block or two of the Haight would be fantastic.

    How about an area that looks like Draper, Utah with the DAZ Office building. Then we can create DAZ employees and get them to do what we want.

    I agree with many posters, more European style with older buildings which can be used in renders from 1850 - present time.
    And I like the central square idea, as most European cities still have the old hay market squares left, now used for trams or busses.

    Really need a more downtown city area, with lots of corporate buildings, a galleria, stores, shopping centers, municipal buildings that can pass as a library, court house, bank or even a city hall.
    It would be nice to have an area with a medical facility or a park, too.
    OH, and being from Baltimore, I'd love an inner harbor area, maybe even a boardwalk. There are some beautiful places to go to in a city.

    An exterior of a shopping center would be nice, then you could release the interior later on as an add-on pack. A park would be nice too, and maybe a bridge over a waterway. But that would require some time to make a good 'foundation' that looks good.

    Edit. And as another poster asked; where's suburbia?

    It isn't a full court, its a fenced-in bit of ground in Urban Sprawl 2 with a basketball hoop bolted to the side of a building at one end. One of the cameras (can't remember which one — I need a map to that place!) has you looking right at it.

    Good luck co-ordinating these suggestions. Huge range of replies here.
    I'm going to be wanting it no matter what it looks like, so I won't be adding to the feature wish list.

    ... if you ever made a medieval or fantasy city to the scale and with the detail of your modern day and sci-fi Urban Sprawls, I would eat cat food in order to save enough to buy it.

    I would eat the cheap cat food, so that I could save up faster.

    Some more

    * A generic 'public building' which with some fantasy and tweaking could be used as a court house, city hall, library, university, hotel, casino whatever.

    * Vendor machines

    * Bicycle stands - perhaps with some bikes already in (which could easily be hid)

    * One of those 'mini-parks at the corner of a block, with some 3 trees, two benches and a tiny table

    * Bus/tram stops

    * Ice cream stand

    * A beachwalk/riverwalk at the edge

    Adctually I'd love to have something revolving around a river or a canal and with bridges!

    Predatron has one in City Streets (a set that fits perfectly to those by stone mason)
