Scene won't render in IRay
When I try to render, it does about 24 iterations and then the yellow bar appears and goes immediately to 100%. But nothing displays in the window except a checkerbox pattern.
I did try to render in 3 Delight and it did render, but it showed an error NaN in primitive. Does that have anything to do with why it won't render in IRay?
Also...if you turn off things using the eyeball so they are not visible, do they still cound when you render...or do you actually have to delete them to see which one might be the problem.
Thanks.

Don't think I understand the question. Are you rendering through a camera or using perspective view? Outside or in a room?
Do other scenes or even a single primitive, render in Iray?
Itay and 3Delight are atotally different render engines, so wha works in one doesn't necessarily work in the other.
As for the image you are trying to render, a few more information is needed. What is in the scene? Characters? Items? What lights are you using? Do the tems have Iray surfaces, or 3Delight surfaces?
Have you changed the Iray render settings?
Well, I created a new scene. I added the same character and a texture and I tried to render and it did, even though I hadn't updated the textures to IRay. Then I added the other items I used and it still would render, so ...I don't know what was wrong with the other file.
Thanks.
Sometimes the products have flaws and don't render, or they render really slowly. Did you look at the log file and see what the issue was?
It has to do with temp files. Delete all temp files and render should start normally.
Is your camera just under the floor, or behind a wall? Sometimes this looks fine in the viewport, but will render as black or grey since the floor/wall is blocking the camera.
