I don't know what we have more of, hot tubs or luxury bedrooms that no one in the real world could afford.

I noticed 2 but that's because they are both in the Choose 8 sale. Both them too, for 0.34 cents each. There are 'more not quite big enough to swim in pools' of which I have at least one of. I think those are meant to be more decorative. I also have a swim pool but it's not Olympic qualified so I'll be buying another pool someday. Now whether I actually ever use any of that in a render or game, who knows?

Well, they have to make hot tubs for characters to wear their OVER ABUNDANCE of bikinis from the store.

I haven't noticed this. Clearly I need to pay more attention to hot tub surplus.

I expect it feels good to soak all those aches and pains away after staggering around on six-inch spikes all day!

I think it's the Hollywood effect. One person makes something that turns out to be popular, and several others come out with works in the same genre. Which is why we an overabundance of some things, a drought in others. Why make your own pie, when you can grab a slice of an existing one? Seems like artists are pretty conservative, few want to take the chance of trying something new.

There are a fair few of those in the stores already and even more pools, bathrooms, and showers, lots of excuses to render lightly clad/unclad females.

I... honestly don't have a single hot tub in my library...

  • Are we talking about stand alone hot tubs, or hot tubs that come with the ultra swank homes, or both??? blush

People  have always been quick to  point out what "doesn't sell" in the forums as an excuse for why somethings don't get made, but they also fail to realize all the weird stuff that does get made that NOBODY asked for, and that you never see used in anybody's renders.  I find this extremely funny; for instance has anyone ever used the Tanning bed prop?  But then maybe certain items like hot tubs don't require a lot of time to model so you don't have to sell a lot of them to recoup your efforts.

Well, you need somewhere for those blank-eyed white girls to float very well in.

I noticed that too... I think hot tubs are going to be the next "bubble" to burst.

This is a very scary possibility... think of the millions or dozens of people employed in the hot tub industry that will be out of work should this happen... Sure you might be able to accurately render their predicament, but will it be to support them or exploit their suffering?

Probably a little of both, but my suggestion is to buy as many hot tubs as you can so as to either avert or expedite the situation... I'm not sure which is better, I just know they always recommend you buy lots of something the moment an industry paints itself into a corner... I'm not even sure who "they" are, financial experts or voices in people's heads, but you should alway listen to them... Not THEM, the giant radioactive mutant ants from that 50s horror movie, but the "they" them... And probably not the voices either, because they are always telling you to do stupid stuff like build a jet pack out of old upright vacuum cleaners and fireworks, or invest in rare commemorative coins minted in wonky nations nobody ever heard about.

    Now I'm confused.

Its probably the daylight saving time lag or the iguana jerky soaked in floor cleaner...

I wish I had something better to do.

You mean underdressed? In this store, women definitely don't suffer from being overdressed!

There was a little irony in my statement. :)

Ain't that the truth. I'm pretty much over luxury apartments/bedrooms that only a white collar New York executive or a Silicon Valley Techbro/Mark Zuckerberg/Notch can afford, lmao. Though to be fair, the only thing they're good for at this point is either gutting them for the room structure and/or repurposing the props elsewhere.

Personally, I'm counting down the days until someone makes a limousine with a hot tub on it now.

I remember a job I had in Manhattan and I was riding with my boss in a Limousine he came in to pick me up and in there were still empty drink glasses with melted ice in them. Only time I even rode in a Limousine and I didn't expect such a famous car to be jucky. That's sort of how I feel about most hot tubs unless I know the cleaning schedule. It makes no sense to have hot tubs were I live now though, it's too warm.
