Hey dude! nice to see you back around these parts as always.

That's a pretty cool render.. has a kind of hand-drawn, illustration feel to to it.. nice!

Hope you stick about for a while :)

If we are on to planes now, I could really use a Curtis A-3 Falcon… and the top of a certain building

...[prod, prod] the English country manor?

That brings up what’s next on my JackieT hope-list: the diner’s kitchen! .

It’s not enough :P - I need more, more for this theme! :P

See, it's a nightmare trying to decide ;)

Folks I find bribery very useful to get what one wants. Offer Jack a bung and he might consider your choice. LOL

.That brings up what's next on my JackieT hope-list: the diner's kitchen! Also, do you know what I'm doing wrong with the glass on the coffee pots, condiments, and soda-bottles? Those are your original textures, and I'm using DAZStudio4.5's standard distant lights, nothing else.

Hmm, sorry didn't spot this until just now.. erm, I don't know is the honest answer. I will have to have a look and see if 4.5 is rendering it differently to how it does in 3.x

    Bear with me a few.

Ooops, sorry Jack, forgot to answer that one! :red:

    Thank you Jack.

The effect is mostly done with the HDRI, I tweaked it to get a really grainy, grimy map, tweaked the UE settings a lot and after about 30 testrenders it almost looked right. A bit of curve tweaking and Tonal Contrast in postwork did the rest.

I will try to spend more time on the forum, still have some of your newer stuff unrendered, but I have a lot images to render for a project I am working on (and no, I can't show them here, Richard and the TOS or the TOS and Richard would not like that!).

... and as for a new idea for a prop, what about the entry of a building, you know like some of the sub-urb towers from the 60s, 70s, not overly clean, not too grimy, two elevators, one staircase, the emrgency exit, some almost surviving plants and the big glass doors with all the letterboxes and bell buttons.

Just an idea, something like a movie setting.

    Hurrahs.. thanks!

Hopefully the previous customer discount is working, too.. (or are you new to the Souks?)

I couldn't see any mention of a discount for customers who already have the Souks and what exactly is different please.

Doesn't appear to be, I got the email and added it to the cart but when I tried to checkout there was no discount.

    *sigh*

I will email DAZ and get them to poke it with a stick.

The difference with this is the same as the rest of the re-issues - a completely new texture pack (higher resolution, too) as well as full DS support this time around. The old version old have DS mats. The DS support includes both 3 and 4.5 as well as Poser. It will happily co-exist with the original version too, so you can continue to use both.

    Hope that helps.

It worked for me just now - $4.19 for new textures and mats? NIIIIIIICE!

Oh cool... hopefully it's sorted then (thanks to whoever poked it) but I will keep an eye on it just to make sure it wasn't a fluke ;)

Ah, I wonder if it's because I bought them in the bundle? because I'm still not seeing a discount.

That might be the problem - however it should be applied to that too, so I will get them to look into it.

I've also received the email, have the original, and don't see a discount. (I assume that Daz still isn't recognising previous purchases: has that been fixed. I've given up using the store except for new stuff.)

Well with the Baroque Grandeur reissue, we did the same thing - and after a bumpy start I think that was all working fine on both the original BG product and the bundle purchases. So it's certainly doable, it just needs a little coaxing still.

I assume the same thing is happening here. Rest assured it will be working ASAP, I'm on the case and can only ask you all to bear with me on this :)

    Cheers!
