What is Aux viewport used for? 

 

I don't know tab should I add. What tabs you use more frequently? Which workspace you use?

    It;s usually used for Iray preview of the scene

    How can you get a 3DL preview?

    ETA:  Silly of me, I forgot that it was originally implemented for a 3DL preview before Iray was incorporated in DS.

    Just be careful of one thing. If it's left set to Iray preview, even when it's covered by another tab, it continues to use resources. I keep it open, but always set it back to Tex preview when I'm not using it.
