HD vs Full HD monitor

Hi. There is any noticeable difference between hd and full hd monitors? I'm looking for a monitor where I can see the eyes of my characters in texture shaded. I have a samsung 19" 700p or something.

 

pd. I can't afford 4k monitors

    What exactly do  you  mean by "see the eyes of my character"?

    But to clarify,

    HD is 1280x720

    Full HD is 1920x1080

    If i remember correctly.

    The difference may not even be noticeable depending on distance to screen, and size of screen.

    If you're looking into a new monitor, you may want to skip a computer monitor all together and just get a t.v.

    a 3840x2160(4k class) monitor at 28" is 295 usd on new egg, where as a 43" smart tv at the same resolution is 299 usd at bestbuy.

    a bit more versatility for a couple more bucks, plus all that extra real estate.

    if  you're really wanting to get upclose and personal with your work, you're gonna want to to focus on screen size and contrast ratio and not resolution.

    I don't recommend anything less than 24" and at least 20k:1 contrast ratio, with at least 1920x1080 resolution.
