Hi All,

Some my not even be aware that I am selling here at Daz 3D,  so I wanted to give you an official hello.

I have an entire line of products that were built for Poser and 9 of them have been released into my store.

My long range plan is to release all my City Block products here for Poser. That is the program I know.

Once I am comfortable with Daz Studio I plan to release a Daz version for each one.

Then as time permits I will be releasing new products as well.

At least that is the plan for now. It my change it may not but that is what my thinking it at the moment.

Thanks for your time and comments.

Tom

    Welcome, Tom.

I have a few of your pieces. Some were usable in DS (pre-Iray), but some didn't play well. I'm glad to see you here and that DS Iray will also benefit from your skillful designs. I am especially drawn to the nostalgic side of your work.

    Again, welcome.

  • Thanks Steve.

Once I can master the my puddles materials and my grass materials I will release Daz products, so stay tuned. :-)

    Tom

  • Yeah! I own several of your city blocks, Are you going to re-release them (eventually)  as dual DS and Poser or as seperate releases. I'm afraid I (and others) will wait if they're seperate and it reflect poorly on your initial sales.

Welcome!  You probably won't see that many purchases from me for a while, as I've already bought most of your catalog from Rendo, but I just wanted to say that it's great to see you here.

  • Thank you.

    Tom

  • good to know

I have a fair few of your Rendo models but want more heart

Hi Tom, my name is Ivy.,  welcome to Daz.

I'm a big fan of your content  I too have most of your poser city block sets I had bought at rendo as well.   I look forward to seeing your new product.  and I use poser pp2012 and daz Studio so either program you build for will be fine with me. :)

From the looks of your Avatar, you must be either a really good runner, or can climb trees with out the use of your hands. :-)

    Thanks for supporting my efforts.

I am reworking all of the City Block sets now and making them all into figures. They can be posed, with out having to use the block mover on 81 City Blocks and my River Front products.

Thank you as well for supporting my efforts.

As long as I can hold a mouse I will be producing products.

    Tom

  • Also adding more features to the full City Block sets as well. All new Grass textures for more realism. The full sets will be including a surrounding property figure with the trees and a sky dome. A self contained world in it's own.

    Tom

  • I had seen these over at the other store.  So glad you are going to be selling them here.  I picked up some of them when you launched here to start collecting them.  Love the old fashioned feel to the blocks.

  • Really looking forward to this ..

Hopefully it will inspire more PAs beyond the McLaren driving supermodel/warrior babe world.

    Thanks Mommy.

Nice to be able to say that, as my Mom passed about 38 years ago. :-)

I really apreciate people who support my efforts as it is my sole means to making a living.

Really looking forward to this ..

I do have a few vehicles I built a few years ago but they are from the 30's 40's and 50's.

If I can talk Bagginsbill into getting into Daz, I might be able to bring those over here as well. His shader work is nothing short of Genius.

I really respect and hate him at the same time.

I respect him for his brilliance and hate him for making me doing things over and over until it is perfect.  :-)

Seriously he is a great guy! And funny too!

He would really love Daz Studio if he just gave it another chance. Come on Ted!

    Here is one of them...

Also built the Car Patio Set with the Cameras lights etc. that it is sitting on.

Ted designed the materials. See what I mean? Genius

That is Teds puddle shader that I am trying to make a Daz Studio version of...

    Delicious!

Hi Tom! As a Daz only user I'm glad to hear that your products will be released for Daz users as well as Poser users. :) I look forward to seeing what you're going to be releasing. :)

Welcome!!! Although I don't have any of your blocks, I have always admired your work and know if I ever need any assets for the era they are set in, I know where to go.

I wouldn't get to caught up in worrying about getting your models DS only ready. As pointed out in other threads, it doesn't take much effort on the users end to convert them to IRAY.  On the vehicles, with the stock IRAY shaders in DS, you can come pretty close to what was accomplished with the poser version

    Very nice!

I sure hope a car's brakes don't fail when coming down that hill LOL.

And great, that you are here at Daz 3D and making the new iray materials for your assets.

    Thanks.

Yes I really like Daz Studio so far, but need to make sure my products are up to snuff before releasing any of them for Daz.

The puddles material you see in an image above of the Car Patio are pretty hard to do in Daz. I am getting there but it is a trademark of my City Block products.

Once I get that down for IRay then 3D Light should be not that hard.

The problem is that the nodes in Poser do not have a matching brick in the Shader Mixer.

Hopefully the programmers will get more bricks in the near future.

Then I will be flying high!

    Hey Doctor,

    Your comment made me think.

    You are right.

I just like drama, but this was a little over the top. :-(

One could get a nose bleed, getting to the top of the hill.

So I spent a few hours today and modeled a morph for the hills.

    Here is the result.

Hope it looks better to you.

Thanks for the kind, funny but constructive criticism.

    I always welcome that.

It is the smart alec kind that does no good, so thank you for not wrecking my chee. :-)

    Hi Artini,

Thank you for supporting my efforts as well.

Tell that guy to get his hands off the car cuz I just waxed her. Rain dance is a wonder. :-)

Not sure they even make that stuff any more.

Will probably do a Daz version of the Car Patio as it is a cool product. Once again I still need to get the Puddles material down before I can do that.

Hoping that an IRay material will work in 3DLight  so all I have to do is make materials for IRay.

Some of my sets have over 300 materials on them so as you can see I am concerned.

    Hi Tom,

are there coming new city blocks in the foreseeable future?

Won't buy any of the Poser stuff here, because I have them all, City blocks, Low Res, River side, the older single models ... Mostly I'm rendering in Carrara and there they work well enough (not Bagginsbill's shaders, but Carrara has it's own shader magic).

    Welcome to the DAZ store!

  • I have been meaning to get your stuff.   It looks like I have not, but I will try to change that hopefully soon.

Thanks for coming to DAZ. It's cool how your set creates a whole universe. Glad to see you here.

    Well Doc,

After several attempts to the hills morph, I could not get the 8000 plus trees to keep the same vertex order so the low hills are the end product.

Don't want to mislead anyone here.

    Thanks a lot!

    Good to be here again.

I never say never but I have a lot of sets to update so it could be a while before I get to build a new one.

There is the fact that I love the modeling part of my work the most so there will come a point where I will not be able to resist.

    We shall see.
