Ha! So when I welcomed you to Daz on the forum a few months ago, I was right (eventually). It'll be great to get Daz-friendly versions of your beautiful sets.

    Daz is a cool program.

    Hi Tulipe,

I am really excited to be able to get into the Daz Shader Mixer tab. It has a lot of potential as long as the programmers don't drop the ball, and just leave it the way it is.

Needs more refinement on the Bricks as well as more basic bricks such as a simple bump brick. The naming in the bricks is a little too high tech for my taste.

Could name the bricks something that a non programmer would recognize.

Another test render with City Block One in the foreground and Low Poly Block Nine in the background.

Also shows the Puddles materials that I have to devise for Daz and IRay as well as 3DLight.

  • I had seen these over at the other store.  So glad you are going to be selling them here.  I picked up some of them when you launched here to start collecting them.  Love the old fashioned feel to the blocks.

    Thanks Mommy.

Nice to be able to say that, as my Mom passed about 38 years ago. :-)

I really apreciate people who support my efforts as it is my sole means to making a living.

    Tom

Wow! Busy thread.  You can call me that any time!  :)  I look forward to seeing what you come up with when you figure out the shader bricks.  Not something I've fooled with yet.  I'll be playing around with all of my blocks later this week.  I want to see what they look like with all of them loaded up.  :)

Is that a DAZ Studio test render?

Tom, are you planning on adding your suberban blocks to DAZ? I they're numbered in the 20s.

So glad to see you here, Tom! I have many of your sets from Rendo. I'm using them to create promo art for my Midwest romantic comedy series, which is set in a small town. Your sets are perfect backdrops! Can't wait to see what you'll do with them in DAZ. Your work is beautiful!

  • One last post, as I do not want to hog the most recent posts.

Thanks to all for your kind comments.

Will start another thread if I want to talk about anything else.

Don't think I will respond to this thread any more, so please don't ask me to. Don't want to make enemies here.

    Enemies? :-o

If someone doesn't like the thread, they can just ignore it altogether.

I personally always like threads where PAs talk to us about upcoming products, uses of their current products etc. It's good for us to see what's coming, so we can prepare; it's good inspiration for us; it's good for the PA because the more interested we are, the more ideas we get, the more sales there are.

I've had your set at Rendo on my wishlist but was hesitant to ever purchase them since I don't use Poser. But I've picked up 6 of the 8 low-poly models you have here at Daz and look forward to more you make.

  • I've seen your city blocks and they look great. Right now I'm using a lot of assets from Daz3d to create graphics for a few Tabletop RPG books that will be published. At the moment the genre is Science Fiction, but I'll eventually be doing modern day suppliments, so your blocks are going to come in handy to make really high end city maps.

    Glad you're here!

Not sure what the issue is, this "IS" a thread to talk about your products and upcoming products. You have a ton of support as evidenced by this thread, please don't stop posting to it

    Yes.

All the way through 20 if there is enough responce to the products as I release them.

    Glad you are happy. :-)

I am still unclear on whether or not Iray materials will render in 3DLight or not. So the plan so far unless I discover it is not needed it to make one set of materials for 3DLight and one for IRay.

It may end up not being worth the effort, as I have over 300 materials in City Block One the first of the 20 sets you are talking about.

That is the set I am working on right now for Poser.

As I said above, I am reworking at least the older Movie Sets before I release them.

Every vertex every polygon and every material are being looked at, as well as adding other details to the sets that I wished I would have added in the first place.

Also adding new features such as chimneys and smoke for them, where there are none. Really makes a big difference in the model.

A skydome and property around the streets that will make a complete world in it's own.

Will have to figure a way around the skydome with IRay as it will not work as it is right now.

Sigh... the only sad thing is that since I've bought almost all of your items at Rendo, it's going to be almost impossible to justify buying them again just to get the new DAZ shaders when they happen.

Thanks for the support. Glad you are getting some good use from them.

Thanks for the compliment. I have a lot of fun building these sets, so it makes it easy to go to work each day.

Another reason it is easy to go to work each day is I get up, I walk across the hall and I am at work. :-)

  • Thanks for the purchases. :-)

As a minor point, there are nine Low Poly Blocks so far.
