How to Use Poser skin Textures in 3Delight in DAZ Studio?

Are there specific things I need to know or do to get my old skin textures that were created for Poser to look good in 3Delight?

Thanks!

Load the figure you want with the Poser materials. Find a 3Delight texture set for that figure whose shaders look good to you. Hold down Control while you click the material file and then chose to "Ignore" the new maps when you apply it to your figure. It will transfer the shader but leave the texture maps as they are. Make sure your figure is selected in the scene tab and the Surface tab as you do this.

The "shader" is what?  The settings that go along with .jpg?

It's a Material file (most likely) or a single Shader file. There should be a small box over the thumbnail that says what it is :). Think of a DS material file as an mc6 and DS shader file as an mt5 if that helps. Oh, and yes..the shader is are the stuff apart from the texture maps. IE: gloss, refraction, diffuse, etc.

Sometimes those of us coming from Poser need a detailed explanation. LOLOL. DS gets confusing real quick because it's so different :).
