Converting Genesis 3 Female clothing to Genesis 2 Female?

Hi...

I did a search on this topic here and in the store, but without success. Is it possible to convert Gen3F clothing retroactively to Gen2F, or is that out of the question because of differences between the meshes and rigging?

Thank you.

You'll most likely want this: http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-female-for-genesis-2-female-s  should be able to autofit G3F to G2F then

    Hi

There is a Autofit clone tool for Genesis 3 Female for Genesis 2 Female(s)  Clothing items

This autofit clone works pretty well , you may need to make a few adjustments to some items you convert.,   Also beware that older v4 clothing you had convertered to Genesis2 may not work as well as original genesis 2 clothing item.  I do not use genesis3 for anything . & i do like & use some of the genesis 3 clothing and props for my g2 characters so this is what I use. It seem to fit what I waxs looking for  you may want to give this a look to see if it something that maybe helpful to you. :)

  • Thank you both. Is this is simple as installing it and using it like Autofit, or do I have to do any character/platform conversion before I can use it? I'm not quite clear on that from reading the product description.

    Thanks again!

Yep, just install and it gives you options for autofit, nothing else to do.

If you want to use genesis1, genesis 2 male, V4 or M4 clothing also, this gives you those options

Oh, but you're talking about going from Gen2, etc., to Gen 3. I'm asking about converting clothes from Gen3 to 2.

Simply install the clone tool and when you go to apply your genesis3 conforming clothing to genesis 2 ( does not work for dynamic clothing) Then you will get the autofit  pop up asking you what compatibility  the clothing items your trying to fit belongs too , choose genesis 3 and the autofit clone will do the rest. you may need to make a couple of adjustments. which I use the Fit Control for Genesis and Genesis 2 Female(s)   which is a must for working with genesis 2 anyway to help get rid of that shrink wrap look

Ah, okay... just like any other Autofit. I'll have to look into the Fit Control as well. Thank you!

there is also a genesis 3 morph dial in the perimeters  tab  to help you fine tune the fits, this helpful if your having trouble with fitting certain parts of the clothes..  its not perfect for all clothing. and I have had some issues with Fat people morphs  but i have been using it for a couple months with pretty good success ,  its the best options using genesis 3 with gen2 until something better comes along.
