Ah glad to hear it.
The cape in that promo was this one, for Genesis 2 males. http://www.daz3d.com/night-guard-for-genesis-2-males
I don't have a render yet using the cape in the bundle.
Edit: Here is one showing the Super Hero Cape for Genesis 3 Male(s). This is morphed using the wind and flying morphs. I leave it up to the viewer to decide if any texture stretching is within acceptable parameters. I think it is fine.
I'm confused by this promo-- is the pooch around the stomach part of the mesh or can that be smoothed? Thanks.
The pooch is a belt morph that can be turned off.
Why would a belt create love handles on a superhero? Can you turn off the pooch if you use the belt morph? Or better, is there an actual external belt you can use to avoid the indentation? Does the Genesis supersuit belt work with this, so you can have a smooth body and don't have that pooch?
I've been fiddling with Poser and/or DAZ Studio since 1999. Coincidentally, that's the same year I was married. I've been single for a few years, and I still feel like a beginner with DAZ Studio. I gave up Poser many years ago. Now I've entered "Old Age," and am coping with such wonderful things as Cataracts, failing eyesight, etc. My brain literally freezes if things get too complicated. I gave up trying to create "Great Art," and try to do silly stuff instead. I am sincerely pleased if any of my stuff gives anyone even a small chuckle. In the meantime, I admire the work of everyone in the forums, and all the PA's, etc.
You could perhaps repost it in the PA's thread for the product: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/107046/guardian-for-the-super-suit#latest
That might be faster than going through CS.
There are 2 morphs dialed there actually a belt morph and shirt tuck morph. Both can be turned off. I think nemesis thought you were referring to the belt since your drawing circled both, but, yes, you can have the mesh perfectly smooth at the waist, or smooth except for the belt morph as well.
For those of you who are interested, I used George because I too am a large man. It's fun to use characters that more closely resemble me. George is an example at how well a large character can work, thanks to Genesis 3. I recently turned 66, and officially consider myself a retired senior citizen. Oh yes, I love all the superhero stuff out there. I just end up creating silly renders, because I appear to have some ability to make people laugh that way.
The suits have a few morphs to resemble "more normal" clothing, and I think that's one of them. For the belt, use the Superhero Skirt (if you have it) and hide the skirt itself and the trim. Take the beltloops off too, or leave 'em.
Hi:
I am trying to use Casual Style for Genesis 3 male supersuit. The texture set applies, but the sleeves don't look like those in the promo shot They are long, and cover the whole arm and the side textures don't apply. The short and socks look okay, just all the tops are bodysuit style. I must be doing something wrong, but it seems so simple.. I just click the suit and apply the texture.?
I don't have Casual Style but if it is like the other texture sets, don't make the mistake of loading the whole outfit and load only the suit, apply the texture and then add shoes, cape etc...
Yeah, I'm getting this with Kenji 7 as well... I suppose for cases like Ivan and Kenji it's because there isn't a direct FBM for them, but there is for Gianni and you're right, he DOES still get poke-through. What the hell? O_o
Also, I have the Casual Outfit Textures, and like Serene Night, I'm finding material application not to be very intuitive like all other super/ultra bodysuits have been in the past. But what really has me raising an eyebrow is the texturing on some of the sock options. Most of the toes on the darker colors have this odd white "blurr" on the tip that cuts off into the seam...
I don't have that set either, but I think you need to add one of the sleeve geograft trims.
DestinysGarden is correct. Applying the geotrim for the sleeveless morph prior to applying the texture works to get the shirt applied correctly.
It is odd to me that this doesn't load with the preset though. Other cosumes seem to load correctly.
Dopey question: I'm loading the G3M SuperBodysuit !Outfit Wearable preset, which loads up the Axiom preset. I try the various HD shape morphs but I can't get the mask to show up. I even switched from iRay to 3Delight and check the Opacity settings (because Iray still confuses me), but everything looks ok. What am I missing?
I mean, I know about shaping with the Genesis Supersuit and I have a grand time with that set. It's not like I'm a noob about suit shaping. What am I doing wrong?
I mean, I load up the Super Bodysuit preset and it works as advertised. What's different about the Wearable preset that I can't alter it?
Thanks in advance!
It's the same for me. Whether it's accidental or by design... it's confuzzling anyway
For me, the only way to get certain elements on the suit like the mask is to go to the textures and dial the mat zone to zero. Remove the hood the mouth etc, and you'll get the mask. It isn't terribly intuitive I'm afraid. There are several mask zones, but to get the classic masquerade mask there is only ne you need left.
Is there a GeoGraft applied that is hiding the mask?
I'll say it again: this set needs a Read Me. Or a manual.
Its got some nifty options, but... its confusing and I think some really important things were left out: like presets to hide the various mask portions.
There may be, but this is straight from loading the entire outfit option (!Super bodysuit outfit) and trying to apply the mask; I'd make a screenshot of what I currently have after trying a few more settings, but since that's in essence a naked M7 wearing boots, a collar and a belt...
It could be because the entire outfit option loads everything below the neck and the cowl/mask/etc only are loaded when I use the Super Bodysuit one (and load suit and boots separately). There may be a logic to it all, but I haven't quite found it yet.
Maybe these presets can show up in a future update.
In the scene tab, expand the Super Bodysuit. If you started from the Super Bodysuit !Outfit preset, you should see the geografts called Shirt-sleeve3 and Neck-Collar. Delete the Neck-Collar one and the mask and cowl will show up.
O...kay, thanks, well, that works. Not something I'd ever would've thought to try, but live and learn...
It wasn't a dopey question at all. I had to ask it too. The geograft trims hide everything that come after it. So like the pants legs hide the socks, the shirt sleeves hide the rest of the arms, the neck hides the head. Presets are there to give various shirt collar options and still keep the basic mask. Or if you have selected one of the geograft trims to make a tank top, and then you want long sleeves, you need to delete the tank top geograft to unhide the rest of the sleeve parts. The other option is to delete all geografts, and make unwanted parts invisible in the surfaces tab. I'm in complete agreement that the workflow is not immediately evident.
Thanks, DestinysGarden! I gotta say, that's a pretty inventive Geo-Graft...!
Any chance I could get this texture somewhere? Pretty please?
I promised a tutorial for this...elsewhere, but the more I work with it, the more confused I am. Brilliant in concept, incredibly poor execution.
That's excellent fabric shader. I'm guessing some sort of lycra materials. Gives a look like you'd expect if you spent part of your childhood reading superhero comic books.
