So why does the Male suit have so few options on the Shirt part?  The female suit has alot of material zones there, but not the male.

Was hoping to see a new version of this (assuming it's done by the same people who made the Genesis Supersuit)! But the lack of an ability to open a singular strip, in place of eye-holes, is a little disappointing. Perhaps a future expansion?

Really nice to finally have a miniature skirt option, though. The Supersuit never did.

On the wishlist for payday next week. Definite buy. Thank you Mada and all.

There are 23 separate Mat Zones on the male suit, plus three on the boots. The GeoGrafts each have their own Mat Zones as well.

Thanks for this - I took one look at the promos saw no image of mat zones and thought it didn't have any so passed.

It really is necessary to include mat zone images for something like this.

Agreed, 100%. It is stunning that they are not showing the mat zones at all. RawArt did a great job showing what is included in his set.

    +1 and then some.

I usually like the daz promos, but this is one time I agree they really don't sell them.

  • Many of my renders are for RPG characters.  Nearly all of which require a Cloak of Resistance to boost their stats.  But it really doesn't fit the wardrobe concept for most of the characters, so I'm grateful for the tiny capelet options on the expansions for these.  Hopefully they will fill the need to show a cape as present without really impacting the character concept.

With Pathfinder for example, only about half of their "iconic" characters actually show the capes.

Agreed, as long as you're only ever showing the suit from the front. I'm just worried that the weird "forks" from the Genesis Supersuit will still be there on the back.

The suit legs poking through the boots in the promo pictures for the G3M cape set is a little troubling.

I'm actually a bit bothered by the cape. It doesn't look as well made as I'd like the flow of it looks stiff  and texture tiling is off. You can see in the tiling on the cape that the hexes are rather badly distorted in this promo image for shaders

This thread needs some renders, especially since the promos were so bland.

So here's a shiny, shiny, Nightwing. (the boots are actually from the Gen 2 Regency set)

The texture's by me because I can (sort of) do that. What I can't do are really nice consistent wrinkle morphs so I'm liking the morphs that come with the suit. Also, all the geografts are a nice way to have things end at a bunch of different lengths with nice proper turned edges.

The advantage of the Genesis supersuit was the numerous addons, this could certainly use some, I'd love some belts and body armor bits, On the other hand the Genesis Supersuit was a bit to reliant on shaders for my taste. the detail always seemed more painted on, wheras this version has nice mesh detail via morphs particularly for the cowl.

@timbales The suit comes with fit morphs for the shoes with them applied I tried a bunch of morph and couldnt set pokethrough. my guess is one of the fit morphs wasn't applied.

One more quick comment before bed. With some TLC I got the long cape handling pretty rad. But it does seem to lean towards lumpy in its default state (though upping the smooting can mitigate a lot of the problems, as does fitting it to the supersuit rather than the figure). The problem isn't the rigging but the morphs being projected out. Projected morphs get funky when they apply to things that are further away. I mean, logically a morph that changes the shape of Genesis3's knees certainly isn't going do anything useful projected on a cape.

What helps the most is a rigidity group, I set one up in, like, 7 minutes, but I'm pretty used to doing it at this point, and I know not everyone is.

But one thing that requires less special knowledge and really helps is selecting the cape turn on "show hidden properties" and zero out any non necesary morphs, in particular the corrective morphs. There's a shin bend morph that creates a particularly hideous lump (I had to do this even with my rigidity group, apparently it doesnt mask corrective morphs, Who knew? I learned something new today)

But 15 or so minute of fudging and I now have a nice pretty and lumpless cape that I can save as a wearables preset never have to worry about again.

  • The suits look great, and I've grabbed the bundle.  One thing I'm wondering about is the templates.  I found the template for Super Bodysuit for Genesis 3 Male(s) under my Product LIbrary, but under the female there are no templates.

Am I looking in the wrong place?

Super-hero suits are all about customization - not including mat zones was a huge oversight.

Anyone else getting major poke-through with Gianni 7? I'm wondering if the FBMs on the male suit have been made for the HD versions of the characters. I'm seeing lots of poke-through for the Gianni 7 base, but it mostly (not completely) goes away with the HD morph dialled in. Ivan 7 also has poke-through on the base model.

The Guardian suits fits perfectly, but not so the base suit :(

I have also bought the Guardian, because of the additional morphs. But I can't use the textures of the "normal" bodysuit on the Guardian too. I get always a message "An error occurred while reading the file, see the log file for more details". Are the both bodysuits not texture-compatible????

  • jakibluejakiblue Posts: 7,281

I'm curious whether the add on textures are interchangeable on the suits? Like.. can these http://www.daz3d.com/super-bodysuit-superhero-textures also be used ont eh female version?

After looking at these promos again, it does not make me want to buy this bodysuit at all. It is confusing and does not show how versatile it is. I LOVE the Genesis 2 Female bodysuit done by 3Dwizard and I need Daz to release the one for the Genesis 2 Male (GM2 does NOT have a bodysuit). It is the only one with the material zones that I need for a superhero or else I'm stuck with auto fitting the female one to the male and it is a headache because the mat zones end up looking very lumpy. And why is it that the female bodysuits always has more mat zones than the male? Even RawArt's amazing add-on (Which should have been the original) does not have the veratility of the female. Sorry for the rant, the promos REALLY put me off, especailly the female one. I certainly hope that there will be more add-ons, especially if we get more material zone options.

That cape looks like an after thought.

Question about RawArt's addon, are the new material zones utilizing the UV swap ability under the Surface tab?

I've always loved all the various Super Hero Suits over the years. I've never been good at making serious Super Art. So here's my first silly picture. It's the "default" George with the Leandros Hair and Whiskers for the beard. He resembles Santa?!

@Ron Knights, SuperSanta? wink Talking from experience, anything so skin-tight is very risky to wear above a certain weight. One tends to look like Presswurst (https://de.fotolia.com/id/3531746.for an image), ready to explode.

@Serene Night, a very dynamic render! smiley

You know, the one thing that always irritated me about theses jumpsuits is that you need to take off the entire thing when you need to go to use the facilities. I vividly remember the days way back when, going to Star Trek conventions in a TNG jumpsuit, when you just needed those extra five minutes to get unpeeled sufficiently to get to business... so whenever I see the guys&gals in the skintight singlepiece stuff, my heart goes out to them... and their heroic potty breaks.devil wink

Body shaming Santa? What are you TRYING to get coal for Christmas? lol :)

Seriously though, people of any size can wear what they want - as long as it's legal of course. lol If one doesn't want to look at it, one can look at something else. :P

hahah I like this! I smell a story here. Santa only delivers gifts one day out of the year, so the rest of the year he's secretly a crime fighter! lol I think that would make a fun comic!

Hehe... not body shaming him, just talking out of experience as a once-upon-a-time-wearer. It squeezes your masses to a point where it gets bodily uncomfortable (unless you are into such experiences, of course), and you get the feeling that you are ready to explode out of the confinement. Then you look and move as uncomfortably as Presswurst, too. heart

    Mostly:

It happens with every Genesis 3 character. Should I report it?

That is not actually the cape that comes in the set. We didn't have the cape set yet when I did those promos, so that one was converted from a different figure.
