How can I install 3rd Party Items made for Daz Studio 4.9 & Why Isn’t Daz more clear on this?

I know this is my second time to asking this but I can’t find my original post. However I just brought 3 items from Renderosity that made for or design for Daz Studio.
I’m not sure where or how to install the needed files & looked a several times on the Daz Forums no luck, because I can’t tell where they installed within Daz Studio 4.9.
I just can’t see why this topic hasn’t been made a sticky note, so it is permanently linked to the top of the New Users/The Commons.
Thanks,

Well, rendo's zip files need to be installed manually. AFAIK, there will be a documentation folder within the zip file with a readme (and license) .txt file. Most likely in the readme there will be instructions for installing along the line of: "Unzip into your [content] directory with 'use folder names' enabled...." Were the content directory is (or directories are) depends on how you installed DS on your system.
The Data, Runtime and any other folders at the same level of the zip need to go in the content directory - usually \Daz 3D\Studio\My Library in the user's documents folder unless you have changed the defaults - where they should merge with the existing folders. The readme should tell you where the files are found for loading.
Personally, I wouldn't install them into the library you have Daz's items.
I have a number of libraries; more than shown.
Renderosity is where their products go.
Take the Test Library; I use that for when I can't find an item installed into Daz's Library; once I know where it is, then I move it. DIM allows you to set up customer folders; I have them as an example, for IRAY shaders and Lighting and Light Props.
Within the zips there will be folders such as People, Runtime, Scripts, Data; those folders are copied to the libraries below; whichever you chose; then you make sure you've added that library in Studio; F2 iirc.
I'm surprised no one asked if you have a Mac or PC! The answer would be different for each type of computer.
Mac (atleast with later OS versions that handle zips better) or PC make no difference as to how only to where.
